How many cinemas do we really need?

CINEMAS on the corner of Westover Road, cinemas in Exeter Road and cinemas on the site of the Winter Gardens . How many cinemas does Bournemouth need?

Visitors have cinemas in their home town so for Bournemouth to have a “wow” factor for everyone wanting to visit, we need something else. Ok, the last couple of weeks have been more like summer but how long will it last and remember the previous months?

We are not the main town along the south coast on weather maps anymore, and in some TV plays and in some magazines we have a saying "Oh, I thought I was going on a special holiday but we went to Bournemouth".

Our town has its beautiful beaches and many more attractions, but still apart from cinemas it has to have either a swimming pool in the centre or pool/waterpark. I took my grandson to a waterpark at Tower Park and it was packed and if visitors knew they could fall back on that if weather was bad-we may start to pick up some points.

On the other hand I congratulate all those involved in the Air Festival. It was tremendous and reminded me of the old Bournemouth when the town was popular and the hotels were full.

Hopefully some people will want to return and we can be on an upward trend.
