This is not a race issue and any attempt to make it such is simply purile. Venkys came in and instantly showed they had no idea about football as a game or football as a business. They threatened to change the name of the stadium, showing a complete lack of knowledge of Blackburn Rovers and its heritage and traditions. They banded ridiculous names around of players they were going to bring in to Rovers. They offered £5million a year for transfers where if I remember rightly, Rovers were getting £10million a year under the Walker foundation. When it did come to transfers the money had to be virtually crowbarred out of their grasping mits. They sacked a proven and stable manager and brought in Steve Kean my puppet. They have attended less than half a dozen games. As for the Asian population of Blackburn, I think you will find that 90-95% of them are of Pakistani origin and Venkys are Indian. It is well documented that Pakistani and Indian people don't get along. Not only this the majority of Asians in towns such as Blackburn tend to be Manchester United fans. This has nothing to do with race and it is pathetic that someone would try and make it such.

Facts: Indians represent 14% of the local population - Pakistanis 11% - so not true to say that 90-95% of local asians are Pakistanis Blackburn - like Burnley - has a history of far right activity And whether you like it or not I still think there's a racist element to this - of course thousands of Rover's fans are hacked off - who wouldn't be. But I for one would be very wary of the motives of some given there's pretty much zero support for the protests from asian fans. The Venky's might not have the footballing history of the likes of Dave Whelan, and maybe they have honestly misjudged this whole venture, but they're surely not the first or the only owner to make a series of bad judgment calls....and I doubt they got into this to bring the club down - which some deluded fans are suggesting.

Okay, lets turn your logic around. Maybe the Asian fans would rather back their brethren than stand with the infadel against Venkys. Or maybe they just can't be a**ed because they are not so deeply interwoven in the whole support of the club. I still maintain that to make this an issue of race is absolutely pathetic and typical of a left wing liberal to try and play the massively overplayed racism card where it has no place.
