(REGENTS PARK ROAD & MILLBROOK ROAD WEST) (PARTIAL ROAD CLOSURE) (BANNED TURN) (001/34)
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2013
Southampton City Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE THAT, in accordance with Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the Council made the following Order on 29th April 2013.
1 The effect of the Order will be to close:
Regents Park Road from its junction with Millbrook Road West to a point 20m north of its junction with Millbrook Road West. Alternative route via Millbrook Road West, Millbrook Roundabout, Tebourba Way and Oakley Road. From 09:30 on 1st May 2013 to 06:00 on 2nd May 2013.
2 Second effect of the Order will be to install a compulsory left turn movement:
(a) from Regents Park Road into Millbrook Road West and,
(b) from Millbrook Point Road into Millbrook Road West. Alternative route for (a) via Millbrook Road West (eastbound carriageway), Mountbatten Way (eastbound carriageway), West Quay Road, Southern Road, Mountbatten Way (westbound carriageway) and Millbrook Road West (westbound carriageway). Alternative route for (b) via Millbrook Road West (westbound carriageway), Millbrook Roundabout and Millbrook Road West (eastbound carriageway).
From 19:30 on 1st May to 06:00 on 2nd May 2013.
3 Third effect of the Order will be to ban right hand turns as follows:
(a) from Millbrook West into Regents Park Road and,
(b) from Millbrook Road West into Millbrook Point Road. Alternative route for (a) via Millbrook Road West, Terbourba Way, Oakley Road and Regents Park Road.
Alternative route for (b) via Millbrook Road West (eastbound carriageway), Mountbattten Way (eastbound carriageway), West Quay Road, Southern Road, Mountbatten Way (westbound carriageway) and Millbrook Road West (westbound carriageway). From 19:30 on 1st May to 06:00 on 2nd May 2013.
4 The Order is required to allow highway maintenance works to be carried out.
5 The Order comes into force on 1st May 2013. The Order will therefore cease to have effect on 2nd May 2013 at06:00 hours or on completion of the works, whichever is later.
