BARBER Darren Couburn plans to shave his hair off in a bid to raise money for The Christie NHS Foundation Trust following the death of his cousin.
The 40-year-old, who owns the Boyz II Men barbers in the Hood Manor Centre, wishes to raise more than £1000 for the charity in memory of Heidi Osbourne who died 18 months ago from cancer.
Darren said: “I really want to give back to the charity who did so much for my cousin. My hair is really long so I just thought why not shave it off and raise money at the same time.”
To raise money for the worthwhile cause, Darren has organised a raffle with tickets being sold at his barbers costing £1.
The winner of the raffle will be handed a pair of clippers to shave Darren’s hair off at an event on June 31 at the Boyz II Men barbers.
Darren wants to raise so as much as he can for the charity who supported his cousin when she needed it most.
