Argentinian Pablo Asensio, who worked as Accrington Stanley’s first-team coach on an unpaid basis last season, was back with the squad on Friday.
Asensio had taken a job as boss of Spanish lower league club Atletic Ciutadella in the summer before having to step down because his English coaching qualifications were not sufficient to satisfy the Spanish FA.
There are no plans, however, for him to return to Stanley on a permanent basis.
