ACCRINGTON firm Pilkington Buses are offering free transport to Stanley fans attending Saturday's final League Two home game of the season against Lincoln City.

John Coleman's side need a point to claim the League Two title and with the play-off chasing Imps expecting to bring a large away following, a crowd of more than 4,000 is expected at the Wham Stadium.

And Alan Pilkington, owner of Pilkington Buses has offered his services to collect fans and bring them to the match with several pick-up points around the area.

Stanley Commercial Manager Daniel Bowerbank said: “It’s going to be a really busy day with a full house and limited parking, so to have free transport to the match is just brilliant.

"It’s wonderful that Alan from Pilkington Buses is supporting us and helping with our new initiatives.

"People can come along, leave the car at home and have a great day. Our bar will be open and hopefully we will be celebrating the League One trophy too.”

There will be five free busses. The first will stop at Park Hotel in Great Harwood at 11.30am, Towngate at 11.35am, Roebuck, Rishton at 11.45am and arrive at the ground at 11.55am.

Bus two will leave the Stork Hotel, Read at 11.20am, will be at Sparth House, Clayton-Le-Moors at 11.30am, Hare n Hounds, Clayton-Le-Moors at 11.35am and the Wham Stadium at 11.45am.

The third bus will depart Tricky's on Thwaites Road at 11.30am, Oswaldtwistle Library at 11.35am, Church lights at 11.40am and the ground at 11.45am.

Bus four departs from the top of Southwood in Baxenden at 12.05pm, Accrington Wetherspoons at 12.15pm and arrives at the ground at 12.20pm while bus five leaves the Griffin, Huncoat at 12.05pm, stops at Bolton Avenue at 12.10pm and arrives at the stadium at 12.20pm.

Stanley's fanzone will be open rom 12noon ahead of kick-off at 3pm.
