ACCRINGTON Stanley's play-off hopes took a hit last week when the Reds' long unbeaten run was ended at Newport County.

But despite John Coleman's side beginning the weekend in the bottom half six points from their remaining two games could still see Stanley sneak in to the top seven.

It would require plenty of results to go their way but here's how it could happen:

Stanley beat Luton on Saturday to climb to 65 points.

Elsewhere, Stevenage, currently in the final play-off place, draw with Yeovil while eighth placed Mansfield lose at home to promoted Portsmouth and Wycombe draw away at Morecambe.

Carlisle lose at resurgent Newport while Cambridge and Crawley draw and Colchester beat Leyton Orient.

That leaves the Reds on 65 points heading into the final weekend of the season and a win over Stevenage means they overhaul their final day opponents.

Mansfield draw at Crawley while Colchester are also held, at home to Yeovil.

That would see the Reds overhaul those two sides and a top seven place is assured when Cambridge beat Wycombe and Carlisle fail to beat Exeter.

And if Blackpool lose their remaining two games away at Notts County and at home to Leyton Orient, Stanley could even finish sixth!
