ACCRINGTON Stanley made a late deadline day swoop to bolster their midfield with the loan capture of Noor Husin from Crystal Palace for the rest of the season.

The highly-rated 19-year-old was born in Afghanistan and came through the ranks at Championship club Reading after moving to the UK.

He went on loan to Vanarama National League South club Hemel Hempstead Town last season, where he scored three goals in 10 games for the Tudors.

He then signed for Palace in the summer after being released by the Royals.

Stanley manager John Coleman said: “He came to train with us last year when he was about to leave Reading, so we know all about him.

“He signed for Crystal Palace but we have kept an eye on his progress since and he has been on the bench for them.

“He knows this club and we know how he plays so he will be a welcome addition to our squad.”

Husin has played for the Eagles’ Under-23s this season, and was on the bench for Premier league matches against Chelsea and Manchester United.

The youngster will go straight into the squad for Saturday’s home clash with Notts County, which Coleman says is ‘100 times more important’ than last weekend’s FA Cup cup trip to Middlesbrough.

“We’ve got to show that resolve and that determination to go out and get a result,” said the Reds boss.

“It might not be as pretty as the game was at Middlesbrough, we might have to win ugly, but we’ve got to find a way to win.

“It’s 100 times more important than the last game.”
