ACCRINGTON Stanley manager John Coleman might have to make an unexpected dip into the January transfer market to replace a key Wham Stadium component.

Speaking at Thursday's press conference ahead of the FA Cup third round clash at home to Luton Town on Saturday, Coleman revealed that the club industrial toaster which feeds the squad before training, had mysteriously disappeared over the new year weekend.

"Our most valuable asset has gone, the toaster has gone," joked Coleman.

"It is a crushing blow. Hopefully it reappears. I am devastated.

"I have got a feeling it will turn up in Cash Converter.

"I am trying not to eat carbs so it doesn't really affect me but I am absolutely bemused."

The absence of the toaster will mean the Reds players will certainly be hungry for the Luton tie while Coleman will be hoping his squad can have the Hatters on toast come 3pm on Saturday.
