JOHN Coleman says he’s not cheesed off to be missing watching his beloved Liverpool in the Europa League final in Switzerland tonight due to the League Two play-off schedule.

The Stanley boss would be among the Kopite masses cheering on Jurgen Klopp’s side against Sevilla at St Jakob-Park in Basel if his own team weren’t playing AFC Wimbledon at the exact same time.

Coleman is a huge Liverpool fan, goes to games at Anfield when he can and has his own opinions on Klopp’s team selections.

But he says he will be totally focused on his own Reds as they try to overcome a 1-0 first-leg deficit and book a final place at Wembley on Monday, May 30.

He said: “It would have been nice to watch Liverpool, but at the end of the day this is our bread and butter.

“If I had a choice of playing football (or watching Liverpool), I wouldn’t watch Liverpool.

“When they lost the game to Chelsea to lose the league (in 2014), I had a game for the vets.

“I’d always do what ignites my passion first and foremost, and that’s being involved in football.

“We’ll take a keen interest after the game, but my only focus on Wednesday is Wimbledon.

“I would have gone to the game (to the Europa League final). I go when I can and I do support them, and I think it’s healthy to be a football supporter as a manager because it gives you an insight into how the fans are feeling.

“I’ve got my own views about the team Liverpool should be picking and that’s why I don’t really grumble too much when I get volleys from all sides about my team selection.”
