ACCRINGTON Stanley are to reduce ticket prices in the New Year in a bid to get more supporters to the Wham Stadium.

New majority shareholder Andy Holt said the decision to slash admission prices followed a 'strategic review' of the business model at the club.

And the Reds are also now offering half season tickets for all League Two home games from January through to May, with the Boxing Day clash against Carlisle United thrown in for free.

For £130 for adults and £90 for over 65's and under 16's you can be in position at the Wham Stadium for the run in to the 2015/16 season where John Coleman and his team hope to continue being involved at the top of the table battling for promotion.

That works out at less than £11 per game for adults and £7.50 per game for over 65's and under 16's!

Half season tickets will be available to buy from tomorrow's game against Newport County and they will then be posted out to supporters or will be available for collection from the home game against Hartlepool on Tuesday, November 24.

Ticket prices for single fixtures will be reduced from January.

"This comes as part of a strategic review of the business model at the club and illustrates our desire to reconnect with the our supporters and the wider community," explained Holt. "Not only is it great value on the pitch, it's great value off it also.

"There is a really positive story unfolding here."

Matchday ticket prices are currently £20 for adults, £15 for concessions, £10 for under 18's and £5 for accompanied under 12's.

But from January 1 adults will be able to get into the Wham Stadium for £15, while over 65's and under 16's will pay £10 and accompanied under 12's will be free.
