The striker only turned 17 this month and is yet to feature in a competitive game at first team level, although he did score in Stanley’s recent pre-season match at AFC Darwen.

Webb is ambitious to make his senior debut during the 2015/16 campaign and will hope to be involved at some stage when John Coleman’s Reds travel to Evo-Stik Premier Division side Marine for a friendly tomorrow at 3pm.

“I would love to make a first team debut this season or next season,” said Webb, who hails from Glossop.

“It’s everyone’s dream to be a professional footballer and I had a taste of playing at the senior level at Darwen.

“I have been at Accrington four years now and it’s the second year of my apprenticeship so it’s a big year for me.

“I have to try and impress the gaffer to get a professional deal.”

Youth team starlets Max Hazeldine, Kealan Steenson and Keenan Quansah signed professional contracts in the summer.

“We were all part of the youth team who reached the fourth round of the FA Cup,” Webb said.

Stanley start their season at home to Luton Town on August 8. They host Rochdale in a friendly on Tuesday before entertaining Blackpool on August 31.
