DEREK Asamoah's goal consigned Accrington Stanley to defeat at Carlisle United in League Two this afternoon.
John Coleman's Stanley went into the match only two points behind the play-off places but that gap extended to five points after they were unable to continue their recent strong run of results at Brunton Park.
Asamoah scored the only goal of the game in the 21st minute when he raced on to a high ball and slotted the ball past loan goalkeeper Jack Rose.
