ON-LOAN Blackburn Rovers midfielder John O'Sullivan scored twice as John Coleman started his second spell as Accrington Stanley boss with a remarkable victory at Northampton Town.

Coleman returned as Stanley manager this week and saw his side go in front in the League Two clash when defender Rob Atkinson headed home in the 22nd minute.

Marc Richards equalised four minutes later but Stanley were back in front in the 28th minute thanks to a goal from O'Sullivan, who moved to Accrington on loan yesterday after previously having a loan spell with Coleman at Southport.

Atkinson headed in again to make it 3-1 eight minutes before half time and Stanley made it four in the 75th minute as O'Sullivan netted his second.

Ivan Toney pulled a goal back three minutes later but another Coleman loan signing, West Ham United's Sean Maguire, made it 5-2 in the 84th minute.

Toney scored again for Northampton before Darren Carter made it 5-4, but Stanley had done enough for victory.
