ACCRINGTON Stanley came from 2-0 down with 10 men to claim a point at Plymouth Argyle in League Two this afternoon.

Playing their first game since Tuesday's Johnstone's Paint Trophy tie against Tranmere was abandoned due to a head injury to Tom Bender, Stanley were a man down after only 26 minutes as Sean Hessey was sent off for a professional foul on Matt Lecointe.

Simon Walton put bottom club Plymouth ahead from the resultant penalty and Ladije Soukouna made it 2-0 on the stroke of half time.

But Stanley pulled a goal back 10 minutes into the second period when centre back Kevin Long headed home and Padraig Amond then nodded in his first league goal for the club to level in the 67th minute.
