Kean nets new deal at Blackburn Rovers

BLACKBURN Rovers goalkeeper Jake Kean has signed a two-year extension to his contract at Ewood Park.

The 21-year-old made his first-team debut for Rovers at Chelsea on the final day of last season and has now penned a deal keeping him with the club until June 2016.

28th December 2012.

That is the date you should have a red pen circled around on your calendars.

A claimant has 3 months in which to bring a claim for constructive dismissal.

It is coming. Mark my words.

Of course there will be a claim for constructive dismissal! He was constructively dismissed!! Shebby The Snake made it clear from the outset that he would drive Kean out but we thought he may have been rather less transparent. Unfortunately Shebby The Snake does not possess the intelligence or subtelty have moved Kean out legally hence the impending visit to court. It is unlikely to be a tribunal case for constructive dismisal as the compensation is capped at a level far lower than SK's monthly salary so it is more likely to be Breach of Contract through aggravated behaviour. No doubt the fans will also be cited in the case but whoever is ultimately blamed, he will, quite rightly, have his contract paid up.

S Kean will not sue Rovers for constructive dismissal. There is no case to answer since it's the only constructive thing that has happened at the club since the day he was appointed! Incidentally, can anyone tell me the day he was formally appointed as permanent manager

So, decisions are being made when there isn't a manager in place. Venkys, Shebby, Agnew, Shaw: get it right, stop this stupidity! It MUST be up to the new manager to decide on contract extensions etc. The new manager might have other ideas to yours and should be given full freedom to carry out what he thinks is best for the club. The new manager must be allowed to select, buy or sell the players he wants (within financial restrictions of course). Venkys, Shebby, Agnew, Shaw: GET OUT OF THE WAY! LET AN EXPERIENCED MANAGER TAKE CONTROL!

Nothing against Jake Kean, btw.

Why does Jake Kean get an article for extending his contact but Goodwillie's return to Ewood hasnt even had a mention let alone an article?

Because Goodwillie is absolutely atrocious.

And 'Kean nets new deal at Blackburn Rovers' makes a better headline than 'Scottish thug gets thrown out of Crystal Palace'.

Good deal, this - seems highly rated and I was impressed by his debut at Chelsea last season.

Yes, they have made no attempt to deny it :-( I wonder what sort of contract Black and Hendry are on. (Drawn up under SK's instructions)
