Padiham return to winning ways

PADIHAM came back from 1-0 down at half time to beat Glossop North End and return to winning ways.

Nathan Bond gave the visitors the lead at the break when his seventh-minute header from a short corner routine beat Sean Davis in the Storks goal.

Steve Wilkes’ side drew level 20 minutes in to the second period when an in-swinging corner from Martin Broderick deceived everyone as it curled inside the far post.

And the Storks scored a brilliant winner nine minutes from time when Joe Garvin’s stunning 30-yard screamer left the Glossop keeper rooted to the spot.

Padiham host Colne in their rearranged LFA Challenge Co-Operative Cup tie tomorrow (7.45pm ko).
