There is nothing honourable about being a lieing drunk driver who lies week in week out.
Give Venkys there due spending all that money John Bond could get this team to the top of the Chumpipnship.
Get a real manager in who dies not bring my club into disrepute and then I will return not before.

Watching the team you love play live and win is what it is all about sir. I think some fans have forgotten what football is all about now - they seem to have got that caught-up in the hatred for all the off field stuff that they have forgot that it is all about what happens ON the field that counts.
Football is about the 11 players representing your team on the pitch and doing their best to win for the fans and the club.

My point is, I will not bash him on the pretext of drinking. I would rather look at his onfield activities rather than off field ones.
The question I ask is, did he do enough to warrant a posiion in club based on astyear form - No. He has been given the jobthis year. I disagreed. But thistime, he was properly backed by the owners and he is putting out a team that istopofthe league&hasnt lost a game. To me, that is enough to back the team now. What if we sack Kean and thenew manager who ever it is cannot keep the winning form. Some of us will look like a fool then.

No disrespect to you being thousands of miles away but it is different being in the town, it's miserable enough with our weather but having this idiot in charge for the last 2 years has worn me and a lot more fans down.
Lies and more lies, our club then employs a gambler who rips of pensioners, the owners (last year at least) did not give a toss about BRFC, Mrs Desai is so pigheaded but then again according to Kean himself in his drunken rant they are as bad calling BFS a crook, no the club is in the gutter at the moment so it's not just about watching a football match its watching you club being dragged through the gutter with this lot.

The odious one will NEVER be forgiven for the lies and insults that he has been shovelling out at Rovers fans for almost two years now and the damage he has done to our proud club.
Venkys may be forgiven (with time) as they do seem to be trying to run the club in a better manner this season.
But any forgiveness or cease of hostilities against VK will only be possible when SK is gone.
I have not forgotten nor forgiven - but I refuse to give SK the satisfaction of thinking he is winning the battle against the fans, which I am sure he does think right now.
I am sure that he smiles widely when he sees the poor attendances and unrest and arguments between Rovers fans. Divide and conquer is his motto for sure. He wont be sacked for any of these things unless there is a major change in Mrs Desias mind - so why should he worry.
But none of that off the field rubbish will stop me from supporting the team and enjoying a so much better than ever expected start to the season. Another win, still unbeaten, and STILL top of the league. Who would have thowt it!

Venkys were he keyproblem last year. The way they went about things including Kean. To me, Kean is not at fault.
He was given the job, not backed as manager in first year against promises of Ronaldinh etc etc... Fans were angered against Venkys and Kean was just their mouth piece. All the anger turned against him and he buckled under pressure & took to drinking right after games, which again went against him. Eventually we went down with every thing imploding.
This season, Venkys have backed the manager with signings. Kean has baacked the management by getting 14 points of 6 games wihout losing.
Theonly missing ingredient is fans. Fans get back to field, I am sure we will get the sponsors back - our players have more to play for and Kean under lesser pressure and might not take to drinkin (though its his personal thing) and may be the world will be brighter. Sometimes, people need second chance and if we deny them, may be we will start regretting some times later.

Saying that only proper fans stay away, how does that work.
One of you saying I watched a proper football tonight madrid v city, some fan you are. I bet you was one of the morons that was calling for sam to get sacked when venky's took over.
Another so called fan whining that we got rid of players like salgado, yet the season before the majority of fans were saying hes past it need to get rid.
Kean, since venky's took over will have done exactly what they wanted and thats to get rid of the likes of salgado, Samba he wanted to leave in each and every transfer window, at least when they did let him go it was to another country.
then you had some fan saying the club was going to hit the wall in january and players wont be paid. he is the one thats divided the fans not kean with his bullcr4p .
Get of ya high horse, kean isnt going anywhere for the foreseeable future, its early days yes but we have the team to win promotion with or without the so called 10000

In fairness they did speak with Ronaldinho's people but it was never going to happen. The thing is, everyone knew it was never going to happen. In fact, it was embarrassing, something which may not have come across to Australia.
I agreed the drunk driving thing shouldn't be used as a stick to beat him with; nor would it be a reason to sack him in itself. The problem is his "defence" in court was of fans spiking his drink and just another example of the many lies, indiscretions and general disrespect for the supporters which have turned them against him. You will have noticed even those who argue against boycotting games almost unanimously agree he should be/ have been sacked.
He has also overseen some of the most embarrassing performances by a Rovers team in the Premier League. These of course led to the ultimate limp-wristed surrender of our PL status. This is a far more valid reason for him to be booted out.
There were strong rumours some of the Raos (Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum) wanted to give him the hook after the Bolton game last December; it would have been a logical time to do it. They were overruled by big sis, Mrs Desai. That shows you who wears the trousers and, as she has no idea about football, what a state we are in.
They have put bums on seats over the Summer but only people with no experience or proven failures. Shebby Singh has come in as our Global Advisor - I still have to chuckle when I see that ridiculous title - and he made bold statements about Kean's position. They were shot down immediately. He is a front man, a mouthpiece, a nobody.
Paul Hunt (former Asst CEO) urged Mrs D to sack Kean - he was himself sacked about a day after his e-mail to her was leaked. This was for "financial reasons", of course.
He is also known to have said (to Graham Jones MP) Kean was far too close to Mrs D. One thing is certain, Kean has influenced most of the appointments and thereby created a human shield around him.
Even if Kean was to be sacked, who would the owners turn to? Kean's human shield would try and stop it happening in the first place and don't seem to be able to see beyond Preston even if it did.
And Shebby would recommend himself.
As for the shirt sponsor; the gates are irrelevant. Last year we were playing in the most widely broadcast league in the world but still couldn't get a sponsor. It's the TV figures which will initially attract the bigger sponsors and then the image of the club they sponsor. As you drop down the leagues, both are affected and you end up with the corner shop paying fifity quid a game plus the cost of the print.
If they couldn't get one last year, then what does that say?
Living down under for the last three years probably explains why you haven't quite got the whole story or a true feel for what has happened over the last two.
I can assure you there is a good deal more going on than has been reported in the press.
I am one of the conscientious objectors so cannot comment on the performances. It would appear little has changed though; the results suggest we remain defensively fragile and yet capable of scoring a few goals. For Yakubu and Hoillett read Rhodes and Nuno Gomes. The problem is, we are in a lower league and the comparative quality of our front two and lack of it in the opposition means we may get away with it this year. There are still forty games to go and things can change in a relatively short time in this division . Late runs resulting in sides getting promoted are far from unusual.
Venkys can throw their financial weight around this year - some would say they are just putting some of the profit they have already made on transfers back in to team. If we were to get promoted, they could not compete and have a manager without the ability to produce an effective team given those constraints.
And if we don't get promoted, how long will they bankroll the club, given the growing financial costs they would incur?
When will they decide to cut their losses, accept it was a mistake to get involved, realise whatever assets they can and just let the business die?
That for me is the concern.

Given the size of Barcelona, it would have been easy to get a substantial sponsor at any time yet they only relented a couple of years ago.
I don't know if Zaragoza is/was the same although I don't recall seeing one on their shirts in the past.
The Spanish economy is in a bit of a state so they genuinely may not be able to find one, even if they wanted.
