Turk set for loan after impressing on Rovers tour
8:28am Monday 6th August 2012 in Football
By Andy Cryer, Blackburn Rovers reporter
BLACKBURN Rovers will look to complete the loan signing of Colin Kazim-Richards this week after the Turk impressed on trial in Nijmegen.
The Galatasaray striker played in Rovers’ behind closed doors 0-0 ‘training match’ draw with NEC Nijmegen, after the initial fixture was called off by Dutch Police due to the threat of crowd trouble.
The 23-year-old did enough to convince Rovers he was worth pursuing their interest in him and they will bid to capture him on a season-long loan over the next few days.
Rovers are also set to complete the signing of Portuguese midfielder Diogo Rosado from Sporting Lisbon after he passed his medicals on Friday.
The Lancashire Telegraph understands the 22-year-old attacking midfielder will put pen to paper tomorrow, to become Rovers’ fifth Portuguese signing of the summer.
Rovers are also still waiting to hear whether there bid has been accepted for Huddersfield Town striker Jordan Rhodes, as they look to replace long term injury absentee Leon Best.
Kazim-Richards can play either on the wing or as a striker and had prev-iously been on trial at West Ham.
The 25-year-old played for Bury, Brighton and Sheffield United earlier in his career, before moving to Fenerbahce in 2007.
He moved on to Galatasaray in 2011 but was on loan at Olympiacos last season.
Rosado joins Rovers on a free transfer having impressed during a loan spell at Portuguese first division side Feirense last season.
Liverpool and Chelsea have been reported to have shown interest in him in the past, with his Sporting Lisbon contract now up.
Meanwhile, Stoke City are understood to be preparing a loan bid for want away midfielder Steven Nzonzi.
Rovers are prepared to let him leave the club temporarily but still believe he has a part to play in the club’s future.
Summer signing Dickson Etuhu made his Rovers debut in yesterday’s behind closed doors training match against NEC Nijmegen, following his move from Fulham on Friday.
Rovers fans were unable to see him in action though after the fixture at NEC was called off by police in fear of crowd trouble.
A training match was hastily arranged between the two sides elsewhere, with fans not allowed in on police orders.

Nothing to get excited about but at least the way our pre season has gone it looks like Kean will be on his way if the current form continues how many defeats will they put up with once the season is under way? We shall see if Shebby's big talk has any substance behind it.
It doesn't matter to me any more. I'm not going and I'm not supporting them after the way they have demolished BRFC........ Good luck to the players though.

So what now, what can I do for my 'chum' returning to 'manage' a team beaten 4-2 by a Dutch second division side following a family bereavement - condolences, even to you Mr.Kean - for all your lies!
What now? PA decides to start the SMEAR campaign against the fans AGAIN!
Blackburn Rovers are so full of 'hooligans' - no we've taken 80 fans to Holland and are just taking the Kean OUT campaign on the road. Don't believe the headlines - it's a disgrace that we have a guy within the club working against it's fans - who are desperate to come back and get behind THEIR team - not 'yours' that you've 'supported since a boy' PA - you're tarnished and have got to go when Kean does!
SHEBBY - ACT NOW! Then 8,500 (hang your heads in shame!) can be joined by thousands of others, who will stay away until the lies STOP!

The reason why the club is in dire straights is because the owners have had free reign to mess up and have now blatantly thrown down the gauntlet to the fans and said, we are going to do whatever we want, and there's nothing you can do to stop us.
If anyone dare blame the fans for that they need to see how much easier they dismantle the club without protest.
They can't attract proper backroom staff, they certainly can't attract proper players without cutting off their nose, offering obscene overtime contracts, that no one else would consider for logical reasons.
When they were forced to make a statement to the public by sky, all they could muster up was, they were confused??
If there were no protesters the feeling of guilt would be unbelieveable to allow this set of rouges to do as they wish, If I could afford the luxury of going to see this bunch of learners, it would only be worth it if I could voice my opinion.
I only hope those who have used their cash in this way can think for themselves and not let the club slip through their fingers.

The events over the weekend in Holland just go to show what depths the press will go to to try to show the fans of BRFC in a bad light. The truth of the matter seems to be that a large contingent of Dutch football hooligans took it into their head to round on a "few" Rovers fans. We all know that Dutch football fans are renowned for their aggressive behaviour. I don't for one minute think that the few Rovers fans there started anything. But having been attacked they would obviously retaliate.
If the Dutch polie cannot control a few of their fans from attacking visiting fans with all their wealth of experience then it is obvious that this event was stage managed to discredit the Rovers fans.

Keans spent no time with the players...either in Portugal failing to sign the player he really wanted but not resisting what was on offer on the "clearance" shelves or in Scotland.
It's clear that at least 2 defenders will be sold before the start of the season and we won't even have Nzonzi to fill in at centre back.
We HAVE to be the worst managed club in England.
Sort it out Venkys or sell the club

I am sure that as much as Kean is from all previous attempts a poor manager, he is desperate to keep his job, prove himself, and get off to a good start. He is after all, extremely determined to stay as our manager. This is actually to be applauded.
And I for one say good luck to him. If we win our first six games, and get some momentum, we will be in a great position to re-strengthen again in January. All this about wanting us to lose our first six games. Awful. If we do and sack Kean, and get someone in, there is no guarantee they will be able to change things.
I therefore am looking at the season with some hope that we might finally start to sort this whole horrible mess out. With Kean or without.

If Kean does have six games to save his skin, then will 1 win 3 draws and 2 defeats count? That won't be good enough to get us anywhere near promotion, but in the world of Kean it will be 4 positive results out of the first 6.

Just another posturing prat with attempts at putting a shine on an abysmal declining support.
Likening these attendances to the last stint in the Championship is utter folly, and in my opinion fudging the the figures. Although according to him he doesn't fudge the figures !
8500 S/T's quoted as sold ? This is at least 10,000 down on previous seasons and this is with the very reasonably priced S/T's.
Equating 2012/2013 S/T's to that of 1999/2000 is preposterous considering the price was higher than that which it is now also the club even after the relegation had the machinery and ambition coupled with, and most importantly - a club that was run by FOOTBALL people with decades of achievement under their belt.
40 years I have followed our beloved club over land & sea and never have I felt the need to question the wisdom of those who ran our club - ever !
This lot, and in particular the 'Odious One' have isolated, ostracized and humiliated me with the shabby disrespectful way they have gone about wrecking BRFC.
The whole lot of them who purport to have the best interests of BRFC at heart are liars, blagueurs and amateur at best and I will not renew or attend whilst these rotters are at the helm and BRFC are at their mercy.
It is wrong and looks like the wrong thing will carry on until someone comes along and kicks these tinkering meddling b'stards into touch.

Some of the comments on here. Jesus.
With Kean or without.
i will never forget kean blaming the wrong type of dew on the grass for losing a game.....what a genius.

If we have sold only 8,000 (should we believe any figure?) despite extending the early bird discount for 4 months until nearly kick off time (perhaps it should be renamed the crispy duck offer?) then that shows how strong the fans are prepared to be with this.

The defence let us down last season so he is happy for most of them to go and does nothing about anyone coming in to take over - even freebies. He must be trying to copy Spain and play 8 midfielders.- with a combibed value of £1.00. Kean will be just as bad this season as he was last, he is just not up to the job. We wll lose more than we win. If he is still with us at Xmas we will be doomed. Lets hope he does 'only' get 6 games - that will be 6 games more than he deserves. More than enough to get rid of him. How can anybody trust him with a football team? They must be round the bend

Just hope the Rovers keep that same figure/sum in their minds when we go for our next target....cannot afford not to spend around 6 million to get a decent striker in. The whole season depends on this....no cheapos this time Rovers.

Some of the comments on here. Jesus. Kean out is another item entirely.....again I believe that almost every single Rovers fan would want him out ASAP. No conditions on 3 matches or 6 matches, get him out now.
And anyway why 6 matches? He lost a darn sight more than that last season and got us relegated from the golden goose called the prem.....so what makes anyone think he would go after 6 games this season?
And what would the result criteria be for the 6 games? Lose all 6 and he goes? Win all 6 and he gets a rise? Lose three draw three and he gets a warning? Lose two draw two win two and he gets a lollipop......yes it is farcical and a ridiculous suggestion to say he has 6 games....
Rovers just need to play as well as possible and get as many points as quickly as possible. I hated relegation last season and I don't want to go back to the bad days of the seventies when we dropped down to the third (now second) division.

Kean confirmed we have made a bid rumoured to be 4m plus 2m if we are promoted for young Jordan but since we made the offer what has happened? The only idea they may agree to it is the fact that Huddersfield seem to be bidding on another striker.
Our bid is as far as I know, the best one but if they feel they can get 6m outright for him, it's in their interest to sit it out. we may in the end have to stump up or move onto the next deal.

Rovers just need to play as well as possible and get as many points as quickly as possible. I hated relegation last season and I don't want to go back to the bad days of the seventies when we dropped down to the third (now second) division.
Kean out now - yes.
Rovers to win games - yes.
The above posts are just saying we would rather win 6 games than lose them. If Rovers are top of the league I couldn't care less who is manager. When or if they lose 6 games then without doubt he should go. Before you say it yes he should already be gone.
All we are saying is it must be better for the team to win than lose. It's not hard!!!!

If ( and I accept unlikely) we win the first six games we would be off to a flyer. At that point I couldn't care less if humpty dumpty is the manager. BRFC and that is what I care about would be doing well. If we lose the first six then you would hope Kean would be gone anyway. I just can't understand some fans wanting to lose the first six. I simply can't get it. Absolutely sure we are better off without you as fans. Bring the season on and let's see what happens. With or without Kean!!!!

Some of the comments on here. Jesus.
I certainly do and I think that all Rovers fans (or indeed any football fan) would want that for their team.
Kean out is another item entirely.....again I believe that almost every single Rovers fan would want him out ASAP. No conditions on 3 matches or 6 matches, get him out now.

Unfortunately, FR, the two are mutually exclusive.

This is where you lose all credibility posting rubbish like this
Stick to the football failings, not personal attacks. That is why he gets sympathy in the national media

Kean will get sacked at some point but no-one is offering us any guarantee that Kean gets sacked if we lose games now - and based on last seasons results then I wouldn't bet on him getting sacked even if we lost the first ten games. Seems he has a very firm grip (somehow) on his position in the club. For now.
I still can't find that fence you mentioned...?
