Kazim-Richards looks to make it Turkish delight at Blackburn Rovers

TURKISH international Colin Kazim-Richards will bid to earn a Blackburn Rovers move in tomorrow's pre-season friendly against NEC Nijmegen.

The 25-year-old can play either as a winger or a striker and will start a Rovers trial against the Dutch outfit, having recently been on trial at West Ham United.

The Galatasaray winger has played for Bury, Brighton and Sheffield United in England earlier in his career before moving to Turkey. He spent last season on loan at Olympiacos.

When this lot took over Rovers their objectives were only clear to them. Now two years down the line they cannot hide what they have done.

They have deliberately used Blackburn Rovers to push their recognition in this country through the roof, for this reason, I believe to them the football is secondary at the moment whilst they keep up with demand for chicken.

They have detached themselves from the fans and deliberately not spent where a little more would make a big difference, because they are concentrating on their bigger picture, themselves.

To put a senior representative of the company out to say they are confused and no follow up to explain is strange.

Mr Kean is well known to be passed his sell by date, but the only one available that will toe the line and very good at convincing the weaker willed ones that they will get it right, he also looks to be trying hard, and most people can't ask for more than that.

These billionaire bafoons don't care to change what has been a disaster for us, because it has paid them handsomely in other ways.

I believe they have probably at least drawn even with their purchase of the club, so could probably walk on when they feel like, leaving a legacy of dissillusioned old folk with long contracts for others to sort out.

Hi Idle. Stats speak for themselves. One goal every ten games, well he should fit in well at Rovers then.

of course it's mullah (just look at samba going to wherever it is or shearer and sutton joining rovers).
.
in murphy's case - i suspect money is a part of it, but in terms of it being two years (and a move back home) instead of one....maybe his manager didn't rate him either.
.
with rhodes - can you realistically see venkys dishing out £6m? they haven't done before despite having the dosh for kalanic, jones, samba and the rest.
.
yak came to us as he was surplus to requirements at everton and not getting games for them - whether we paid him more than he was getting, i have no idea.
.
so we want £10m for n'zonzi and last week were (reportedly) offering £750k for this (supposed) portugeezer wonderkid? think out wonderful owners need to learn summat about simple supply and demand.
.
if huddersfield want to cash in they will want decent money and encourage an auction. prem teams got deeper pockets and will probably pay more than we will - and if i were rhodes i would not touch rovers with a barge-pole as long as these clowns remain in charge with the chief idiot ringmaster responsible for the acts.

yak came to us as he was surplus to requirements at everton and not getting games for them - whether we paid him more than he was getting, i have no idea.
.
so we want £10m for n'zonzi and last week were (reportedly) offering £750k for this (supposed) portugeezer wonderkid? think out wonderful owners need to learn summat about simple supply and demand.
.
if huddersfield want to cash in they will want decent money and encourage an auction. prem teams got deeper pockets and will probably pay more than we will - and if i were rhodes i would not touch rovers with a barge-pole as long as these clowns remain in charge with the chief idiot ringmaster responsible for the acts.

I am not a big fan of how they run the club so far but they made 7 signings this summer and we are talking about more, how many have Bolton done this summer?

We can't keep criticing them even when they are trying to do things right.

Now ducking for cover :)

i don't get your point there lancs. i recognise your anger at the situation, but you're just getting drawn into the same comments about anything to come out of the club now. it's getting less considered.
this is a chap on trial (probably as a backup if the rhodes signing doesn't happen). he may have played for bury, but he's also played at a top level in turkey and greece, so which is most important. it would be very rare for a player to start stay and finish off all at the top level. he gets a few international starts too.
but most importantly, he has not been signed, so why the vitriol? not a problem to have a look at the lad surely. and if i remember rightly (which i may well not!) i'm sure we had been linked a couple of years ago. not sure under which regime either, but hughes rings a bell.
we don't yet know if rhodes will be coming, and for how much. but we've lodged a bid which i guess will be higher than fulham had a bash for. sure, he may not come, but his reasoning could be any number of things - ambition, comfort, cash, manager, lenght of contract etc. we don't know, so second guessing seems a little pointless.
kean's record suggests he is certainly a loser of sorts, but in terms of this trial, why would he be a loser? and why is singh a bull merchant? your desire to hear direct answers may seem like a small ask, but when it comes to trasnfers i think most clubs like to be at least a little guarded. and rightly so.
you have some decent points to make most of the time which is why people give you sensible responses. that kind of debate is surely better for a forum than simply resorting to ridicule?
sorry, slightly high-horsed there, so apologies for that. but i like decent debate and sometimes on here it has become unreadable.

Another gold medal for GB with silver for Malaysia.
With the introduction of a new Olympic event this year, GB have struck gold thanks to the efforts of the brave Scotsman S Kean. BS Hitting is an event where each contestant tries to outwit their opponent by saying and doing the most unbelievable things, making sure along the way, that no one can tell their lying. Kean has had many years experience of this and won by a country mile. S Singh, a newcomer from Malaysia, tried hard but was no match for our brilliant Kean.
The Venky brothers are doing well in the Hide and Seek event and it’s hard to see how they will be beaten now and should give India their first gold medal.
Meanwhile the BRFC fans can do well, if they can hold their nerve, in the muck spreading event as they endure ton upon ton of manure heaped on them but still come up smiling.

this is a chap on trial (probably as a backup if the rhodes signing doesn't happen). he may have played for bury, but he's also played at a top level in turkey and greece, so which is most important. it would be very rare for a player to start stay and finish off all at the top level. he gets a few international starts too.
but most importantly, he has not been signed, so why the vitriol? not a problem to have a look at the lad surely. and if i remember rightly (which i may well not!) i'm sure we had been linked a couple of years ago. not sure under which regime either, but hughes rings a bell.
we don't yet know if rhodes will be coming, and for how much. but we've lodged a bid which i guess will be higher than fulham had a bash for. sure, he may not come, but his reasoning could be any number of things - ambition, comfort, cash, manager, lenght of contract etc. we don't know, so second guessing seems a little pointless.
kean's record suggests he is certainly a loser of sorts, but in terms of this trial, why would he be a loser? and why is singh a bull merchant? your desire to hear direct answers may seem like a small ask, but when it comes to trasnfers i think most clubs like to be at least a little guarded. and rightly so.
you have some decent points to make most of the time which is why people give you sensible responses. that kind of debate is surely better for a forum than simply resorting to ridicule?
sorry, slightly high-horsed there, so apologies for that. but i like decent debate and sometimes on here it has become unreadable.
Hi Fitz
Got to agree with most of your post, when I get angry and especially seeing another defeat against a top European team? It just comes out, normally I try to read the LT and digest it then start blogging but some days it just comes out.
I wish like many other fans I could be realy excited at this time of year looking forward to quality new signings buy my season tickets but this lot have knocked it out of me and I will never return until they go.

One day I hope we can all meet up down at Ewood and talk about the good times but this may be a long time off.

if you were rhodes - would you stay with simon grayson who is reasonably successful in championship or join the funfair at ewood under captain chaos where you know there is discontent and not a happy bunch of campers.
.
not a chance of him coming.
you say that HH but i believe now money can get anyone, why did yak sign? Why would Murphy join from a well run pl club with a proven manager? The answers are cash
givet - ain't it weird that we can debate a point without reverting to pathetic name calling.
.
of course it's mullah (just look at samba going to wherever it is or shearer and sutton joining rovers).
.
in murphy's case - i suspect money is a part of it, but in terms of it being two years (and a move back home) instead of one....maybe his manager didn't rate him either.
.
with rhodes - can you realistically see venkys dishing out £6m? they haven't done before despite having the dosh for kalanic, jones, samba and the rest.
.
yak came to us as he was surplus to requirements at everton and not getting games for them - whether we paid him more than he was getting, i have no idea.
.
so we want £10m for n'zonzi and last week were (reportedly) offering £750k for this (supposed) portugeezer wonderkid? think out wonderful owners need to learn summat about simple supply and demand.
.
if huddersfield want to cash in they will want decent money and encourage an auction. prem teams got deeper pockets and will probably pay more than we will - and if i were rhodes i would not touch rovers with a barge-pole as long as these clowns remain in charge with the chief idiot ringmaster responsible for the acts.
with rhodes - can you realistically see venkys dishing out £6m? they haven't done before despite having the dosh for kalanic, jones, samba and the rest.

HH you say Venkys haven't done that before, what about Scott Dan, wasn't it 7 million with another 2 million in add ons? Also as per Guardian and other newspapers we already made a bid for 5 million for Rhodes which was rejected by them
Rovers bid for Rhodes was nearer £750,000 believe it or not - all this paper talk of millions bid here and millions bid for that is absolute tosh! Fact they ain't got it to spend and (b) they wouldn't spend it if they had it! Get used to it this club is being run on a shoestring budget and sooner than later the Venks chickens will come home to roost! Doomed I tell ya doomed!,,

RONNIE CLAYTON good post !! - Blackburn Rovers past reputation for honesty and integrity means nothing to the current 'lying, manipulating regime' - just lining one another's pockets and jobs for the 'boys' with Kean running the show!!

On a separate note Team GB's athletes did us proud yesterday and raised our spirits - they wanted to represent our country, rise to the occasion, 99% of them set a good example to our young people and finally played under our 'national flag and anthem' unlike the 'prima donas' at Cardiff who put on a miserable show, squabbled about playing under our nations flag and anthem, half hearted displays , couldn't rise to the occasion and didn't get a mention in most bulletins later in the evening!!!!!!

Absolutely right Dave. Last night confirmed to me everything that is wrong with football. You had three athletes who kept their focus and 100% delivered for their nation. Unlike the greedy overpaid t0ssers on the football pitch who are probably still trying to work out which car they are going buy next or what the next tattoo will be. Football has too many egos from Sep Blatter all the way down to the grass roots.

not a chance of him coming.
you say that HH but i believe now money can get anyone, why did yak sign? Why would Murphy join from a well run pl club with a proven manager? The answers are cash
givet - ain't it weird that we can debate a point without reverting to pathetic name calling.

of course it's mullah (just look at samba going to wherever it is or shearer and sutton joining rovers).

in murphy's case - i suspect money is a part of it, but in terms of it being two years (and a move back home) instead of one....maybe his manager didn't rate him either.

with rhodes - can you realistically see venkys dishing out £6m? they haven't done before despite having the dosh for kalanic, jones, samba and the rest.

yak came to us as he was surplus to requirements at everton and not getting games for them - whether we paid him more than he was getting, i have no idea.

so we want £10m for n'zonzi and last week were (reportedly) offering £750k for this (supposed) portugeezer wonderkid? think out wonderful owners need to learn summat about simple supply and demand.

if huddersfield want to cash in they will want decent money and encourage an auction. prem teams got deeper pockets and will probably pay more than we will - and if i were rhodes i would not touch rovers with a barge-pole as long as these clowns remain in charge with the chief idiot ringmaster responsible for the acts.
Spot on, it amazes me how many people still latch on to the believe that venkys are putting any of their own personal finances in to BRFC,its all being bank rolled from sales of our experienced PL players,Anderson and co must be laughing all the way to the bank with all the business constantly going on at ewood players coming in and then being sold 12 months later it stinks of laundering.

Dave is right, I saw it on the TV. But my point is more that there is a systematic problem with football. It's called money and with money comes greed. Blackburn Rovers is a shining example of this.

Another Pre season game today in Holland were the result won't matter. What are the odds on us getting soundly betaen again? then it's off to Ireland next week to lose there too.

People are saying pre season results don't matter, but I am getting very concerned. Yesterday Ipswich beat West Ham 3 - 1 and Brighton beat Chelsea 3-1 not to mention Burnley winning 4-0 away to Cheltenham.

I know we lose nothing for the defeats we have suffered so far, but I have a horrible feeling we still haven't lost the habit of conceding loads and losing far to easily.

We only have two weeks to go so we need to get things right and quick

It may not have come to blows or threats of walking out but the total indifference on the faces of the Welsh players when the BRITISH, not English, national anthem was playing spoke volumes.

There have been individuals from all parts of the British Isles competing and succeeding spectacularly, getting tremendous support from people all over the country in the process. The athletes have worked their buns off to get to this point and whatever their motivation - be it for personal achievement, the team, country or just the town they come from - they are truly dedicated individuals for whom we should all have the utmost respect.

Footballers have one thing and one thing only on their minds; themselves. It's a long time since I've seen one of these new celebrity prima donnas show anything like the emotion seen over the last few days - be it in success or brave defeat.

You could say tennis players have the same self interest at the heart of everything they do but even the usually dour (and I believe proud)Scotsman Andy Murray seems to have got he bug - that's a Scotsman, Craig, not English - and lets face it, they've got a far more serious beef with the English than the Welsh have.

I was deeply relieved the football team got knocked out. It prevented them taking an undeserved place in the celebration of the greatest day in British sporting history.

If ever there was a reason for Great Britain not bothering with a football team ever being entered into the greatest exhibition of sporting excellence and commitment on the planet, it is Bellamy and his cronies pathetic attitude. He can f@ck off and get another tattoo - he should have it across his forehead, although I don't think "sad miserable tw@t" would fit; mind you his head IS big enough.

Don't recall any Team GB football players squabbling about playing under the national flag or anthem. That's just a non-story which has been blown out of proportion by the media.
How many of the Welsh players sang the national anthem.........great team spirit!
So what, it's the English national anthem. When we played Wales in the Euro 2012 qualifiers I don't recall people jeering the Welsh when they didn't join in with God Save The Queen. It's a stupid argument which the media have blown out of proportion. Why isn't there a British national anthem. Why not sing the Welsh or Scottish national anthem sometimes? There's an article on football365 - under Mediawatch - where they point out just how ridiculous Piers Morgan has been acting with regards to this debate. You should read it. The best part of it though is when they point out that Englishman, Bradley Wiggins, didn't sing the national anthem when won gold but Piers Morgan said f*** all about that!

I know we lose nothing for the defeats we have suffered so far, but I have a horrible feeling we still haven't lost the habit of conceding loads and losing far to easily.

We only have two weeks to go so we need to get things right and quick

As far as I'm aware why should the welsh players sing the english national anthem and be grateful for doing so? England have adopted god save the queen so why should the welsh be expected to sing it. If england changed their anthem then the welsh would have no beef singing god save the queen. You just come across as a deluded tosser just like Kean. The welsh do not consider that the english national anthem should be sung, why not the welsh or the scottish or Irish one. So ,in conclusion how did a known swindler and liar get a 400,000 pounds a year contract at Rovers. In many ways, the appointment of Kato is probably the most worrying. Giving a glorified taxi driver who can look after himself the responsibily of managing the safety of thousands of people does not seem the most responsible of decisions.

You don't need to be a student of history to know the mismanagement of sports stadia has not worked well in the past.

I don't know if he has ever had any experience of his new role, but somehow I doubt it. Of course, if Clouseau is calling the shots, basic competance does not seem high on the list of priorities at Ewood nowadays.

At least the other jobs for the boys will only result in us losing football matches; a lot of football matches.

How did Hendry get a job coaching at Rovers , with his reputation as a liar and swindler, he has not even contested the accusations that hang over his head , surely if anyone gets accused of the illegal behaviour Hendry has done it would be a legal matter ,so it must be true. So ,in conclusion how did a known swindler and liar get a 400,000 pounds a year contract at Rovers. WE ALL KNOW we have seen Kean and Hendry getting **** in pubs in Lytham for about a year and a half now.

I for one would like to see the guys qualifications as i know john newsham worked his way up from being a steward over many years ,There has never been any explanation as to why john left the club ,but just lke ALL the posts taken up from top to bottom at Ewood , They ALL lack qualifications
and have taken the places of
QUALIFIED personel

I hope the investigation by b.r.a.g
and the questions and answer session with shabby sheds some
light onto the running of OUR club .

Good job we got rid of Allardyce then.

Don't recall any Team GB football players squabbling about playing under the national flag or anthem. That's just a non-story which has been blown out of proportion by the media.

Bizarre response.

And how big of Bellamy and co giving up their time, what heroes. Would they have done it if the games had been in November? Would they have pleaded with their clubs to let them go? Somehow I doubt it.

Mo Farah spent seven months away from his family training for the olympics. Bellamy couldn't spend seven days away from his "body-art" salon or favourite wine bar.

Unfortunately I didn't get any tickets to see any of the olympics so I'm afraid sitting on my ar$e " flicking the buttons on the remote control " is the only option I, along with a lot of others, has.

And where did I say anything about me representing my nation?

If supporting those who were whilst respecting their commitment and effort is a form of "delusion" then so be it; I am happy to live with the burden of being, as you so eloquently observe, a deluded to$$er.

Like I said, bizarre response.

Thats right consider yourself told. How much time did you give up for team GBR? So to call anyone who did is just bizarre as you like to say. At least Bellamy gave up his time unlike golden boy bale who said he was injured but went on pre season with spurs.
So get your priorities right, you're not on here calling boy wonder are you you deluded tosser. Whats Mo farrah got to do with Bellamy, when farrah was off training without his family its because his sport demands it. If bellamys sport demanded it he would do the same, you deluded tosser.

God save the Queen is the British national anthem dummie.....perhaps a different anthem should be used for England , just like the Welsh, Scottish have thiers, when competing under the British banner, recognise the anthem or don't compete..simple

"Huddersfield’s hot property striker Jordan Rhodes could be edging closer to a move to Blackburn Rovers.

Rumours are suggesting that the young hitman is keen on a transfer to Ewood, possibly due to the reported £35,000 per week pay packet which is being touted.

While Rhodes may be interested, Huddersfield are sticking to their guns and demanding at least £6m from the promotion hopefuls.

A first bid has been seemingly snubbed by the Terriers, rumoured to be in the region of an initial £4m with bonuses taking the transfer up to £6m if Rovers bounce back to the Premier League.

Whilst this is promising news, there is negotiating and possibly compromising to be done yet – but a glimmer of hope remains for Blackburn with the new season rapidly approaching."

God save the Queen is the British national anthem dummie.....perhaps a different anthem should be used for England , just like the Welsh, Scottish have thiers, when competing under the British banner, recognise the anthem or don't compete..simple
Read wiki god save the queen has been adopted by england too.

"perhaps a different anthem should be used for England"
And did anyone from Scotland, England, Wales or NI (EIRE for that matter) really care when Murray hit that final ace to win the gold. Just party - us Rovers fans might not get another chance until kean goes!

So there you have their beef outlined nice and simple for you th1ck feckers out there. Its you who have a beef. Get over yourself You Keanochio deluded tossers. GOD SAVE THE QUEEN
I didn't say they should be singing it. With respect, I think you may have missed my point.
I haven't missed your point at all, you were saying what an indifferent attitude the welsh players had to the national anthem, so as you're obviously a bit dim, I explained to you why this was so. You obviously missed the point of my answer. The fact of the matter is, Bellamy and co were giving up their time to represent team GBR whilst you were sat on yer arse moaning about their attitude. Seems like you've got your wires crossed somewhere as all you appear to have done is moan about it whilst growing cegs on yer arse and supped a few beers. Maybe flicking the buttons on the remote control constitutes representing your nation in your house but in mine it = deluded tosser.
This is fun isn't it
If you say so.................

I'm sorry I keep using your mate Craig as an example but listing every single professional footballer would have been a little impractical.

If Bale wasn't injured, you can insert his name in there instead for all I care.

I would have loved to have given up my time for Team GB by the way; unfortunately I'm an untalented, unfit fifty-odd year old so I may have struggled to make the squad.

Interesting point you make though.

Sorry, did I say interesting? I meant irrelevant.

Just can't understand someone who comes on an article about football and then slags them off saying how athletes are much better??? Go on the athletics forum instead. Personally I enjoy both athletics and football, even though both get payed far too much. What you say, athletes get paid??? Yup sure do, Bradley wiggins got 1 million for his exploits last year which is probably the same as what bellamy got. On the other hand Dai Greene got next to nothing, so it depends if you are involved in whats fashionable or not. So if Dai wants to earn more money, he should take up cycling or football.

Football has too many egos from Sep Blatter all the way down to the grass roots.[/p]
Don't recall any Team GB football players squabbling about playing under the national flag or anthem. That's just a non-story which has been blown out of proportion by the media.[/p]
He can f@ck off and get another tattoo - he should have it across his forehead, although I don't think "sad miserable tw@t" would fit; mind you his head IS big enough.[/p]
So there you have their beef outlined nice and simple for you th1ck feckers out there. Its you who have a beef. Get over yourself You Keanochio deluded tossers. GOD SAVE THE QUEEN[/p]
I didn't say they should be singing it. With respect, I think you may have missed my point.[/p]
Maybe flicking the buttons on the remote control constitutes representing your nation in your house but in mine it = deluded tosser.[/p]
Like I said, bizarre response.[/p]
This is fun isn't it[/p]
I meant irrelevant.[/p]
RUinsane

what a load of nonsense some of you write about the national anthem.
.
some welsh players opt not to sing "god save the queen" so what? two of the girls that won the pursuit bike thing didn't sing when they got their medals, ditto mo farah. andy murray mumbled it a bit - does that make him good? why single out footballers - its personal choice for christ's sake.
.
i'm english and an athiest and republican - doesn't make me any less patriotic. don't want a royal family so, its inappropriate for me to ask a non-existent god to save someone who i don't think should have the power she does.
.
if you want to force people to sing the national anthem, that is the equivalent of nazi germany or communist north korea. blood and sand - you should be grateful that the national anthem is a matter of personal choice, get a ife and grow up.

The anthem is an ode to the reigning monarch so of course it's about the Royal family. It may be the British national anthem but it's been adopted by numerous national teams that represent England. A new national anthem which doesn't bear allegiance to a diety - who people might not believe in - and a head of state who doesn't need saving thanks to being rich for no other reason than she's been elevated to such a position via birthright, not democracy. It's outdated and doesn't reflect Great Britain in the 21st century.

As I already pointed out, Bradley Wiggins didn't sing the national anthem but you've targeted the Welsh football players, that smacks of bigotry where I'm standing.
