Where is your sponsor Venkies?
or does nobody wish to be associated with you again?

If blue & white halfs clashes with whoever you are playing, there is a 50/50 chance that this kit will clash also....good bit of thinking again by the BRFC

Better than last year's ugly black and yellow outfit.

Plain Dark Blue with a bit of red around the arms. Really like it, much better than yellow and black.

What, no sponsor? I wonder why? Do Venky's know the amount of money that can be made from having one? Unless of course, no-one wants to be associated with the shambles that we have become.

Maybe Billy Smarts would be interested, or maybe Confused.com?

good point. if it's black instead of a darker shade of blue, it'd be better. not too shabby though (bad pun very intended).

Anything other than the absolute shocker the 'yellow and black' effort !

The worst ever for me.

Only one matters - the famous blue and white one :)

Like the color of this one but, I think it represents the owners 'blue all over' !

T'up the Rovers

Well expect a third kit because at some point it is going to clash. Another shade of blue, POINTLESS.

dezzer48 says...
5:35pm Wed 4 Jul 12

I hope they have a 3rd strip because if we play a team with blue shirts I some how don't think our first or second strip will do, by the way does anyone know the colour of our third strip(do we have one)

Forever-Blue says...
5:42pm Wed 4 Jul 12

The 'third' strip is Green as ordered by Mrs. D. Her favourite colour apparently.

michaelharbron says...
5:53pm Wed 4 Jul 12

I think this is worse than last season effort which is saying something as that was terrible. A third kit will be needed but I can see us using last seasons away kit, especially as we seem to be retaining the Princes Trust as the 'sponsor', as when we play away both our kits are too similar to Ipswich, Millwall, Birmingham, Brighton, Peterborough, Sheffield Wednesday and Leicester.

dezzer48 says...

should blend in with the pitch then, we will have excuse when we miscue our passes Lol

Looks like a lot of thought has gone into this !! Its a blue tee shirt with a Rovers badge ! with no sponsor !

LanghoRover says...
6:08pm Wed 4 Jul 12

It looks ok but am I missing something, it's blue, has someone at ewood not worked out we play in blue and white therefore we need a kit to use in case of a clash with other teams that play in blue or white, is it me?

Venk Off says...

forgot to mention that this strip like last seasons away shirt has £15 in time for Christmas written all over it

Well I think it's a massive improvement on last year's kit, though a bit like a tee shirt I bought from the Rovers Store last year.

They ought to get the design of the home strip right and reverse the colours on the back as they should be.

Not you. Looks ok to me but it's obviously going to clash so there'll need to be another.

Great logic from whoever thought of a Blue away kit, we play Ipswich in the first match.... AWAY

Have they thought of a 3rd kit, wouldn't put it past the current regime to see us turn up on the first day with a colour clash. Who is going to buy all these great replica shirts that look like training tops at crazy prices?

Apparently, manufacturers Umbro have also designed the new Liverpool away kit. All red apparently!! And the new Newcastle away one too, black and white stripes!! Completely pointless in my opinion. Red and black is always the best choice for me.

Surprised it's not deep saffron white and India green. You know like the India flag. Three hoops. Don't think there would be any clashes there.

Any combination of red and black always looked good and were a good altrnative when our blue and white clashed.

A very slight improvement on the awful yellow and black shirt of last season. It still seems to be policy of Umbro/Rovers to come up with the least creative and most tacky looking shirts possible. Its almost as though they don't want to make money and sell as many as possible! If they pushed the boat out by choosing an unusual colour or design I would be far more likely to spend £40 on it than on a boring all navy shirt that looks like the Rovers pyjamas I bought a few years ago.

Maybe it will look more like a football shirt when we sell the space on the front of it to a sponsor. Since every other club in the world feels the need to sell this space, why don't Rovers?

On the subject of a third kit, for most clubs this is a way of milking more money out of supporters. For Rovers I can't help get the impression that its just idiocy all around that has inadvertently caused a colour clash. How hard can it be? Rovers can wear their home shirt against everyone except those who wear blue at home. When are we going to need this navy shirt?

What a laughing stock this club has become.

Nice as a fashion piece, however, during night matches under not the greatest of lighting at some clubs is a dark colour easy to pick up quickly for the players?

Change the home kit? Now that would be the final straw! They have already ruined its design by changing the halves, known throughout the world. Just let them dare change it more!

RobbyRover says...

They obviously wouldn't allow the yellow and black one, would they. Those colours have been adopted by the supporters in protest!

It's alright, a bit boring like. We had a dark blue away kit a few years ago and couldn't use it all the time. Ipswich away, first game of the season - is that easier to tell from the Ipswich kit than the blue and white?

It's alright, but blue home kit and blue away kit?

Isn't the whole point of the away kit that it's completely different to your home kit?

It'll look better with a decent sponsor's logo on the front...if Venky's can attract any decent sponsors that is.

I see they've gone for the 'we couldn't be arsed actually designing a kit so we just stuck a badge on a navy blue tee-shirt' look, and it only costs £42.99 or you could just get a cheap navy blue umbro tee-shirt and stick a rovers badge on it and you have the kit for a fraction of the cost.
