Rovers go Dutch this summer

BLACKBURN Rovers will 'go Dutch' this summer as their pre-season campaign starts to take shape.

The club have today confirmed they will play two friendlies in Holland, a fortnight before the Championship season starts.

Rovers will face Go Ahead Eagles at the Adelaarshorst Stadium in Denventer at 8pm on Friday August 3.

They then face NEC Nijmegen at the de Goffert Stadium at 2.30pm on Sunday August 5.

I've been told I'm very condescending.

That means that I tend to talk down to people.

ha ha ha ha ha ha I know I shouldn't laugh but its my first reaction now when I read about Rovers Inside I'm crying for my club that's being sold out. The supporters and town really do deserve more...but we know now that they will not get anymore. I wager within the next six months, the academy will be merged with the first team and a lot of facilities and players sold and maybe even beloved Ewood itself. This will be as a result of either an intended dastardly plan to asset strip (covered by inept appointments and idiotic press releases) by this foreign organisation or as an unintended result of Venkys crazed strategies...we are heading straight down to a league game with Accrington Stanley...so hey why not enjoy playing in Holland it will be the last season we do

To the Venky's going Dutch means the players will have to pay for their own flights...... oh well... back to the Prozac, got a few spare if anybody needs them....

Maybe Kean has his eye on a Go Ahead Eagles player, watch the bald eagle will be landing......

Instead of rewarding the players and staff by taking them on tour they should book a load on friendlies against Championship clubs then at least they can get an idea of the competition they are up against next season. Doesnt matter if Kean has his eye on any Dutch players, Shebby will be doing all the buying and selling.

Found this on Wiki dont know if its true but cant belive (but also glad) that Mido turned us down so that he could play for Barnsley.

"He later stated that Mido has 3 offers from 3 Premier League teams: Bolton, Blackburn, and West Ham.

On 16 June 2012, Mido agreed a one-year deal with English Championship side Barnsley, subject to a medical."[

I thought Venkys said last year that they were going to organise Rovers to play in a high profile 4 team televised competition in India EVERY pre-season to raise Rovers profile in India - has the plan to make Rovers "no 1 team in India" been abandoned already when they realise no-one in India has even heard of Rovers and no-one cares !!

Venkys = total morons.
.
Isnt that what they talked about doing ??
.
Just another load of cr@p spouted by these Indian muppets and their lapdog Kean.
.
Why dosent Cryer ask his new best buddy, shabby shiek about this change of plans ?? (another promise bites the dust)

I am sick to death of reading Andy cryers 'Enid Blyton take ' on what is going on with Rovers. Whats with 'Rovers go Dutch this summer', is that with lashings of lemonade. Do so-called journalists at this esteemed paper actually know what their job is? Instead of happily looking forward to some cobbled together pre-season like some hack with memory loss, Cryer should be harrying and pushing for the information that really matters, and by really matters I mean what your readership, the fans want and need to know. Everttime you publish an innocuous little article like this, the lunatics in charge of the asylum that used to be Blackburn Rovers consider that things are settling down or getting back to ( what they) consider to be normal. The supporters need to see people like Andy cryer getting stuck in on our behalf.. if he cannot deliver that, then perhaps he should just deliver newspapers instead of writing them

All these stories seem for the first time pretty pointless in the greater scheme of things. Our club is still being run by airy fairy, deceitful cowards with one crooked new recruit. Whether we play in Holland or on Mars isnt going to change that

Certainly a very imaginative piece of writing. However it is not unknown for gangland money to find its way into football and Kean would not be the first manager to have criminal connections. Nevertheless, I prefer to think that all of this is happening because Venkys are totally stupid when it comes to football.

I wish clowns would stop this conspiracy theory rubbish. The simplest explanation is usually the right explanation. In this case, the egomaniac fat indian lady doesnt want to admit she was wrong with Kean so is perservering in the face of all reasonable analysis!
-
She has appointed the man off the TV, because she likes his "innovative opinions" and realises that Kean needs some protection from the media and fans- so Shelby is the protection and go between she has appointed. The appointment partially motivated by the fact that Kean cannot deliver all the bad news always.
-
So in summation we are left with the worst manager in Rovers history and some clueless Malaysian clown off the tv as the director of football. Still no CEO or deputy CEO or anyone with any clue as to what the hell is going on.
-
Dont expect Murphy and Best to come. I expect we will be gazumped on Best- hence the high profile announcement of a bid being accepted so another club can come in for him.

Well, I will be heading to my home country then this summer from Belfast .Despite the circus and all the farce I will still cheer the boys on. The Venky's/Kean and all those involved with them can go f### themselves.

Funny they are playing NEC, one of my best mates lives in Nijmegen and he is quite excited about this. NEC are in the Eredivisie and can be compared to say Wigan/Bolton.
