Venky's must act to convince fans
10:26am Thursday 21st June 2012 in Football
By Andy Cryer, Blackburn Rovers reporter
HOW Venky’s must wish they could put the clock back 18 months and start their Blackburn Rovers era all over again.
This summer is seeing a major reshuffle behind the scenes as they look to restore order to a club that has been in chaos almost ever since they took charge.
The need for more structure was without a doubt a necessity but Venky’s will know deep down they were the ones who created the problem in the first place.
Those close to Mrs Desai believe she knows the biggest mistake she has made was letting the likes of John Williams, Tom Finn, Martin Goodman and Andrew Pincher leave the club.
Without getting into the bizarre managerial decision to sack Sam Allardyce and replace him with the rookie Steve Kean - few would argue that the loss of so much experience behind the scenes has been their biggest downfall.
It is important to note Shebby Singh spoke well as he made his bow as ‘global advisor. It is up to Venky’s to deliver still though because until they do, words are empty.
We have heard it all before about decent budgets being available and good signings being made. NOW is the time they made it a reality.
Fans will be cynical and they have every right to be. How many times do people want to tell them ‘exciting times are ahead’? We will see soon if the latest raft of promises will become reality. We all have yet to be convinced.
Ever since Venky’s take over, they have been fighting a losing battle and in the process have messed with good people’s lives.
Spare a thought for Anthony Bloch. He left a good job at Everton to become Rovers’ secretary and just a year later finds himself out of a job again - it would be nice for someone to explain why to him.
The same goes for Paul Hunt. He left Leicester City to become deputy chief executive at Ewood Park only to be quickly dismissed. These are the people they employed.
Many others have been forced to leave the club - including Simon Williams and John Newsham - and you just feel these good, honest people have deserved more respect.
The only real loyalty the owners have shown so far is to manager Steve Kean. I don’t understand that, like most others, but it is the facts.
Rovers’ Premier League relegation certainly was not down to the guys who have either been sacked or left.
The owners have to take full reponsibility because it has been their decisions, their dithering and their lack of football acumen that has seen the club drop.
Hopefully this time their appointments work. Hopefully Shebby Singh makes an impact as a global advisor. Hopefully Ian Silvester is a great club secretary. Hopefully Paul Agnew is a good general manager.
These guys will know their success depends on Venky’s though. Unless they change their approach , nothing will change.
Let them get on with the jobs they have been appointed into and we can see what they are made of.
The problem in the past is everyone has been powerless to make a difference to the club because of the way Venky’s have run it.
Singh & co deserve a chance. It would not be fair of me to comment on them without that.
How Singh and Kean will work together is going to be interesting. He at least saw, like everyone else has done, that the manager is leading a charmed life.
This is a man who called for Kean to be sacked just a month ago - an interesting dynamic.

However, I just cannot support what is going on until Steve Kean is seen signing on at the Weybridge Job Centre Plus. If they make that decision then I will begin to think about giving the owners a second chance as it is effectively them saying they acknowledge an error of judgment.

My hope is that the presence of Shebby as he overshadows Keans role and every move along the corridors of power in Ewood may serve to unnerve the worst ever manager in our long history and may even force him (Kean) out the door and save Rovers any pay-offs to the pretender.

It doesn't matter how many good signings we might make, we still won't win anything with the bald baffoon's tactics.

.
Secondly its actually the first real communication to come out of Ewood for some considerable time, isn't that what we have been asking for, the club to communicate with us?
.
OK, it might be the usual drivel we have come to expect, and I for one am not holding my breath but perhaps the penny, or rupee has dropped?
.
BTW, has anyone else noticed that Kean has been extremely quiet recently?

Will Mrs D and the family be across every other week to support their team and second rate Manager next season - I doubt it but they expect our support, loyalty and trust - for what - to put cash/asset strip and put more cash into their pockets!
OUT WITH VENKYS KEAN AND CO AND ALL THE OTHER HANGERS ON!!

No one buys the chat because we heard it all for the last 18 months.
Whilst Venkys continue to hire and fire in a chaotic way no one of any substance will want to be associated with this once great club. Both backroom and players. Would you leave a good job to join this circus? No Way!
Because of the way the club is run we're left with the useless and the desperate.......noth
ing that's happened since our relegation has convinced me that we're going in the right direction....

You will see from recent posts that I have a lot of critics on here most have appeared since you commented on a post I made.
Those who chose to will see on looking that I asked you a question, you have declined to answer, you obviously don't have to.
You are holding a meeting to which I cant attend but wouldn't even if I was available, If you want to have a pop at me on here that's fine but I feel it is cowardly of you not to reply to me on here and some how think its fair to expect me to attend your meeting.
The question I asked was nothing to with the rights or wrongs on anything to do with BRFC it is nothing to do with venkys or sk or the FA It was to clarify the outcome if Venkys etc are proven to have acted outside the laws of the game. It is similar to being accused of pinching a bag of crisps from Mr Tesco and asking Mr Policeman if I am convicted of this what are the punishments I might receive.
Glen I find it very hard to understand why you wont answer a simple question. I know a lot have fans on here are giving their opinions on here but I would ask you to reflect on your position as acting on behalf of supporters if you refuse to reply.
The question I asked you Glen was :-
If your are successful with your actions with the FA could a possible outcome be a points deduction or Relegation for BRFC.
Now I know every one can tell me their opinion or act on your behalf But because of your position and the fact you had a pop at me on here I am asking you to answer the question on here or explain why you cant

Well, I'm sure I can speak for most on here when I say we would not have a problem with a little debt by way of a severance package for the 'I got Fulham promoted Odious One' ?
Slate clean ?
Well, we have been here before such as the time 2 seasons ago after the last gasp win over Wolves when the clean slate was promised, If I recall something said along those lines ?
Singh, your quote that Kean is not the man to take Blackburn back into the Prem league was absolutely correct, and on that basis why did you not stick to that line when you were in discussions with Venky over your new super duper roll ?
Oh, I get it, towing the line. Not rocking the already sinking ship that is the good ship Ewood.
Venky set up a bank A/C and I will contribute funds that help in paying this Odious One's severance package !
Pressure ?
Wait until the Odious One is pitted against those who are well versed in the Championship League.
The horrible detestable liar is, and will not ever be up to managing at a high level. What is the Odious One displaying to Venky regards his football acumen that see's him still installed as manager ? They are being taken for utter fool's by this 'Odious One' and whoever is advising them.
Do they or yourself not understand that IF you rid BRFC of Odious One, and install a manager of repute even from the lower Leagues that Ewood would be packed to the rafters along with an atmosphere that hasn't been heard or seen for a number of years ?
Wipe the slate clean by ridding us of the cloak of despair. It is that simple.
If the Odious One steps foot anywhere near that ground then be assured, I will not.
My money is pledged to BRSIT, and gaining interest daily. Not a penny more will you people receive from me until you do the correct thing.

So we have a Malaysian football pundit appointed as director of football. He may talk a good job but that is all we have had out of Kean. Promises of this that and the other and when it all comes down to it just abject failure.
Any new signings are likely to be free transfers and incoming players balanced out by a number of players being sold and money not reinvested.
They are trying to **** the fans into buying season tickets because sales up to now have been catastophic.
I for one won't be renewing until Kean has gone - not much chance of that happenning however.

As I said to you Sunday, I pity you your evidence.
Should the scenario be as you believe because Glenn as dug and, found wrongdoings down at Ewood then you firmly believe that Glenn is the guilty party for exposing this ?
Only one body will be guilty of this gross assault on BRFC and, that is those that purport to run this football club. The rules are already in place and, not conceived or implemented by Glenn or, we, the supporters.
Come down to the meeting and, I will guarantee that you will not be at any risk. I attended with probing questions and, I was embraced for my honesty, and concerns for BRFC. The people who you attempt in demonizing are, believe it or not, just down to earth non violent folk who wish to retain an image of the football club they have supported all of their lives.
They want the TRUTH and, if this exposes corruption in the running of BRFC then so be it. This is not the fault of the supporter.
You ask Glenn to answer your question ? I admire him holding his counsel and, in my opinion, so should you. Failing that and, your not satisfied with Glenn holding his counsel then I suggest you go and find the answer by other means which are open to you ?
Whatever the outcome of this whole sorry mess if it brings stability, cohesion and, transparency I will be satisfied regardless of what League BRFC ply's it's trade in.

And at least he is attempting to do something about the debacle we find ourself in, not wingeing on here. It isn't his fault if Rovers have broken any rules, he is not answerable to you, me or anyone else.
.
And the last time I checked there were several other people involved, three local politicians for example.
.
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out what will happen if the FA or for that matter the PL decide to investigate the goings on at Ewood and find that rules have been broken.
.
Depending on the severity there will be fines and points deducted.
.
And if they have broken any rules isn't it better to deal with the outcome now? rather than find out halfway through or towards the end of the season.

I live in Thailand and I see Singh on tv as a pundit. This just shows that the people in charge of Blackburn know nothing about football. Singh really is a joke. When I first seen him on tv a few years ago I really did think he was a comedian because I didn't know who he was !!!! He will embarrass Blackburn with his stupid comments and his lack of knowledge about football. Steve McMahon the ex Liverpool player was also a pundit and he sometimes couldn't help laughing at some of the things Singh used to say...he really is clueless. Good luck Blackburn fans because you will need it with this annoying little fool.

Now I know every one can tell me their opinion or act on your behalf But because of your position and the fact you had a pop at me on here I am asking you to answer the question on here or explain why you cant
and i do go out more than you, TP and the H 4 me tomz
.
I was happily posting on the forums the other day like lots of others do when out of the blue Glen Mullan had a pop at me (look back at all the posts ) Before Glen did this I have never spoken to him never met him never had an opinion about him.
I asked him a question in reply to comments to me.
Now if he doesn't wish to discuss on this open forum fine I anyone could write to the FA and get an answer to the question so let Glen answer for himself

Something for you to consider a lot of posters on here complain that the owners are not honest and don't reply to questions!!!!!!
By the way the other poster who told you the answer about swindon being relegated two divisions was me. They were relegatd two divisions which was overturned on appeal, but only after the director and owner had been given jail time. So as the likelihood of Mrs Desai doing a bit of bird is quite remote, you would probably, as a club, have to take the whole sentence of two division relegation. Now I think the action team are aware of any possible outcome so there is no need to keep stalking him. And our marriage is now over. Time for work for me.

It was never my intention to get them relegated.
I apologise unreservedly for the heartache I have caused the Rovers fans.
I fully admit I am no good as a manager of a Premier league team and must state that no way have I the ability to get them back into the Premier league.
I apologise for the untruths that came out about my drink driving conviction.
I am sorry for the slanderous remarks I made about Mr Alladyce.
I am sorry for all the lies I told about which players I was going to be allowed to sign.
I must apologise to the Venky's for deceiving them so badly over my abilities as a manager.
I am sorry I said it was only 1% of fans that didn't like me, when I knew all along it was only 1% that possibly did like me.
I'm sorry for all the interviews I did on tv where I possibly came across as knowing what I was doing.
I apologise to all the managers and pundits who I so nastily deceived into thinking I knew what I was doing.
And finally my I just finish by saying..........I RESIGN forthwith without any thoughts of claiming compensation
for my disasterous tenure of BRFC.
And I would wish my successor every success in his endeavors to rebuild the club I so murderously destroyed. I hope they eventually get their reputation back.

Whilst I've nothing against the new appointment of Shebby Singh, I think everyone's patience is now running thin with this constant cry from the Venkys that they didn't know how to do things before, but they now know they've made mistakes.
If they realise all these things like they shouldn't have let John Williams go, why aren't they realising the obvious that they need to get rid of Steve Kean? That is currently a far more obvious a mistake than letting John Williams go, albeit that was obviously a massive mistake. So why are they still so stupid on that fundamental issue of our manager?
Ignorance only washes so long as an excuse.
Anything the Venkys announce, the response from the fans is always going to be; "yeah but what about Steve Kean." That's not going to change, whatever. That's all everyone cares about.

"Have you read them? I don't think anyone could of claimed to have read them as those questions have not been made public, nor has the supporting evidence which came with such questions.
The BRFC Action Group has now met with the Premier League, The FA and the Goverment. I can ensure everyone we did not go there either un-prepared or with the intention of just having a moan. Its taken months of digging, speaking to current and ex employee's. Talking to people both here and abroad with connections to Rovers including through third parties to put together a dossier which we could present which shows a clear breaking of FA and Premier League rules. There has been so many wild conspriocies which have been written or told, and even these have had to be investigated by us, to either back them up or dismiss them. Every single piece of evidence we submitted was backed up by testimony and documents. There is still things out there we know to be true which we cannot yet submit as fact due to (A) Not having a document to prove it, or (B) Not having the people who claim these things to go on record. However what we do have is enough evidence which contravenes a number of rules within the FA and Prem guidelines.
The BRFC Action Group are holding an open meeting on the 24th June at 2pm at longshaw club and everyone is welcome to attend. This will give everyone an opportunity to hear first hand how these meetings went.
Do you think this case would of been taken to Parliament without there being significant evidence? To go as far as Parliament shows that an outside influence is needed to ensure justice is done.
We told both the FA and Prem to be under no illusions regarding how far we would take this. We made it quite clear that they can deal with it behind closed doors swiftly and cleanly, or we will go public on everything we have, which ultimately will show beyond reasonable doubt the failings of the system which has been put in place to protect the integrity of football.
The only people who have seen what has been submitted to the FA, Prem, Hugh Robertson are, The 3 Mps present and the BRFC Action Group Committee. Of these only the BRFC Action Group Committee were present in the Prem and FA meeting.
Secondly in answer to his other questions, No-one outside the authorites could know what action if any could be taken for the breaking of these rules. I'm a firm believer in innocent until proven otherwise, therefore it would wrong and ill judeged for me to make claims of penalties which could be sanctioned by the FA and Premier League. The BRFC Action Group which has an elected committee, make collective decisions for the group. Our only interest is a clean, well Blackburn Rovers and the truth. Our club has been allowed to be sytematically dismantled whilst the supporters are the ones who have been left suffering. The lack of transparency which has left us with a Manager who appears more powerful than any manager witnessed before poses more questions than answers. Its these answers which we all seek, and if there is perfectly good explanation, we are still waiting to hear it.
Can rovers have points deducted, or be relegated again? This is not a question I could possibly answer, Im just a supporter like you, and do not have a crystal ball.
Finally I work full time, and this week have been dealing with a family tragedy and i'm sorry if I cannot come and post on the LET every 10 minutes. As I stated originally we are having an open meeting, and you are more than welcome to attend and I will try and answer any questions you may have in addition to the one you have posed on here which I have now answered

Now I know every one can tell me their opinion or act on your behalf But because of your position and the fact you had a pop at me on here I am asking you to answer the question on here or explain why you cant
but let me tell you something.
maybe one of the reasons he is not replying is, at this moment he is mourning the death of a family member. so instead of making a pr$ck of yourself, why not send him a pm, get what's bothering you off your chest and move on.

Sorry to hear you have been having problems Glen. The fans on these sites have been trying for days to satisfy FFs **** for attention without success. perhaps now you have answered his/her question personally, although I doubt it will be to FFs satisfaction we can all move on and continue to harrass the people that matter, Venky's, Kean etc.

Andy Cryer reveled last week that 5,100-5,200 tickets had been sold and this was backed up by other sources (ie friends/family of other people working in the offices at Ewood).

Your reply is somewhat confusing
1. You have published a point I raised about the questions that where published on here, a polite "those are a set of false questions" would have provided a simple answer rather than having a "pop" at me ,
2. You have not published the question I asked you.
3. The question I asked you was not like you say above "Can rovers have points deducted, or be relegated again?"
4. The question I put to you was asking you about a possible out
come.
5. A simple yes it is possible or no its not would and still would suffice.
6.Now you say above that "Can rovers have points deducted, or be relegated again? This is not a question I could possibly answer"
yet a couple of days ago you said that an outcome could possibly be Venkys forced to sell,
Now was that some one posting under your name, if not then I dont see how you can say they will have to sell when you cant say an outcome might be relegation.
7. I have never asked you to tell me anything about the action you are taking or the punishment they will get.
Personally I wouldnt care if the owners where shot. I came on here for a bit of fun because of what I thought were ludicrous conspiracy theories. Now when you came a long and had a "pop" I thought I would ask a question. Which is still unanswered.
8 . Is a possible outcome that if you are successful with your actions with the FA, BRFC could suffer a points deduction or relegation.
Yes or No
9 If you cant answer that question then how can you say that an outcome could be a forced sale
Thanks in advance for your reply

I though id start by posting my original post to Fickle fan as he claims I had a pop at him. This was in reply to him claiming to have seen the questions which we posed in these recent meetings. Not at one point do I have a go at Fickle Fan

1. Rovers do come good i.e. promoted/playoffs - Not likely but remotely possible 1000/1
2. Rovers end season mid table - Most possible outcome 5/2
3. Rovers drop to bottom of table and get relegated - a good chance of happening 10/1
so for scenario 1 kean keeps his job, scenario 2 kean keeps his job cos he's slipper than eel, and scenario 3 kean keeps his job cos no one else wants it.

Oh, we laughed at some suggestions !
Maybe you could think of one ?
On a side issue I had a look inside the club shop, alas, no-one to be seen gleefully renewing S/T's only a few young folks attempting to look busy as you do in the workplace !
Ronnie Clayton looked well, and all the smiling faces behind him reminded me off the good times. Jack still looks majestic, standing honorably. I had a thought as I looked at him, and thought his posture resembled that of a man asking, with his arms in the air;
'What the hell as happened down at my beloved Rovers' ?
I made a pledge with him that we as BRFC supporters will fight this to the final conclusion, and his smile which the statue portrays will always remain for that which it was cast.
He has my word on that. Folk just need to go and have a gander he his the only inspiration I need !

Rumours are up to 10k ST sold.
Not so much an empty stadium but expect kean will get the panning he deserves from the first home game. Then again maybe an empty stadium would have been to his benefit?
Empty stadium = no-one to criticise his newly acquired championship manager 2012 skills.
.
Andy Cryer reveled last week that 5,100-5,200 tickets had been sold and this was backed up by other sources (ie friends/family of other people working in the offices at Ewood).
.
You are trying to say we've sold 4,800 this week - GET REAL !!
Also Andy mentioned last week, people had been telling him they had been turned away. Even if its 7k or 8k, or even the 5k you say, its not an empty stadium and not every supporter buys season tickets anyway.
It's a rumour, heard it at work from someone whose a lot more learned in all things sports and has no reason to lead me astray, he could have spoken to someone in the know or he could have read it on twitter... Its a rumour, calm down. One way or another, there will definitely be empty seats aplenty but the stadium definitely wont be empty.

I'm not trying to argue with you but do you honestly think not going to watch rovers will force venkys to leave? Don't think with these idiots it will be that simple, what the simple thing to do would be to sack Kean and then get in someone that can give us a chance of premiership football again, but even a shocking 18 months in charge and relegation hasn't even forced them to do that, so Venkys don't do simple!! After all no company can survive having no customers or such bad publicity. Their shares have already plummeted over the last 2 years.

All I'm saying is I think were stuck, so maybe we just have to get on with it!

Finally GOODBYE & GOOD LUCK!!! Steve Kean

I though id start by posting my original post to Fickle fan as he claims I had a pop at him. This was in reply to him claiming to have seen the questions which we posed in these recent meetings. Not at one point do I have a go at Fickle Fan

Football is for pleasure not for profit. The owners have no real connection with the fans at all. They do not know us (even the few fans they have met).
Is this a naive statement, I would say not, simply a basic essential truth. In this big bad world answers can be found but greed is most definately not the way forward for OUR club Venkys. If you will not work with us or even listen to us then this shows you do not value us

I think the Venkeys may lack IQ as it seems to have taken them too long to suss the reasons why the club has gone into rapid Burnleyeske downfall. I know a lot of fans want them out and so do I but realisticaly I want Kean out and the football side of things back on track then I will buy my two season tickets. Take note Mr Singh dont blame the marketing department about low sales its Mrs Desai's fault for retaining Kean who you know is a complete and utter liability to this club.
