By firstly selling anything/body of any value to recoup some if not all the initial capital outlay. How they actually get the money out of the company, I wouldn't know. The accounts may make interesting reading though.

Then offsetting the reduced income from the Championship (or below) by continuing to significantly reduce costs.

The business becomes profitable - or virtually so - and bingo, is more saleable, albeit at a lower price.

They may not make a lot but wouldn't lose much either, which I believe is their main concern.

I think Kean is blaming Givet for our loss at Swansea why has he not played our best remaining defender for so long?
I can understand Givet's reluctance to play he has been victimised similar to Nelsen.We need someone to motivate the team now Kean is as useless as Wolves new boss so we need someone new to take us into these last few matches.

Exactly FR - thats why we must hold back on ST renewals until Kean is sacked and Venkys invest some funds or sell.

Hi Sonny, I have been on here telling people not to go down to matches and I have got lamblasted for doing so by the "I will always go down" brigade, some are now changing there tune! people have chosen to protest march again there personal choice, some are advocating not buying ST again there choice, why because in our own ways we WANT to do something so dont come on here calling anyone "silly" its an insult to all BRFC fans, just have the balls to come on here and tell us what YOU will do, we wont call you what ever it is, we may differ but just do something instead of adding cheap comments about people who are at least trying.

It will be a sad day to see Rovers relegated knowing that Venky's won't be committed to getting us back up. If they stay Div 1 is looming. Kean is their front man and until he goes you can't believe a word coming out of India. If Venky's do want to stay they will have little support until they sack Kean. Waiting for him to resign is not an option.

Please don't give Kean & the Venky's any reason to come out of the next few matches smelling of roses....All protests must be lawful, suggesting that fans invade the pitch will do nothing to help our cause in getting rid of Kean and the owners.

I understand your points but remember the despicable Walkers Trust had us up for sale for about three years or so and this was when we were a well run and stable mid table prem club.....

Who on earth would be interested in us when we are in the Championship (or god forbid lower)......By anyones reckoning looks very much like the Venkys are going to be around for a long time yet - just hope Kean isn't still part of it...

The club have so far had 1800 renewed. I predict it will be well under 10,000 unless something changes.

so you can buy a house now for 10,000. give venkys another 6 months and you will be able to buy a football club for not much more!

If the price is right, who knows. The infrastructure would still be in place and we have, sorry had, been in the Prem for a long time. It may seem a decent opportunity.

My source tells me that Rovers have sold less than a 1000 season tickets, Givet did not refuse to play at Swansea, Rovers staff fear they will get 90 days notice come May and that Venkys now bank in India not Barclays and all money goes out of country. Dont renew tickets.

As for the march I doubt Venkys will be seen twice in a fortnight at Ewood - when the entertainment value is so good !!

If they walk away at the end of the parachute payments they will probably have put 80 million in there back sack less the few million expenses for judas KEAN, and similar to ANDERSON

Ive been posting links to various media articles over the last couple of days, trying to highlight this media tomshittery.

Media asking " who do Blackburn fans think they are?.......Man utd?

Sections of the media berating the fans this week.......why?

We are guilty of one thing, loving our club!, why should we merely sit back and watch it be fleeced, mismanaged and become the laughing stock of the prem?

Brian Read and Matt Lawton, two of the worst culprits, wonder if they know JA, nudge, nudge, wink, wink.

The Football Association has a lot of blame in this, they set out the rules and they should monitor the obvious neglect and wilful damage being done under their noses. It must be very encouraging to Business people who want to make big that venks are able to slaughter a well run club and answer to no one. As we have seen this season the owners and puppets have the majority voice and can quite easily make disgruntled supporters look unreasonable wilful and petty if questioned.

proud to be petty! if kean spent more time coaching and less time promoting himself on sky sports news we may have had a better season.

Time for ALL Rovers fans to unite against this totalitarian regime and media tomshittery.

They will keep SK even if they are relegated this season and in coming seasons into league 1 or 2 as long as they can make money. That is there sole intention and SK is their puppet who will 'manage' the club as long as V are still around. OOnly way to get them out is for someone to offer to buy the club at a significant profit which will not happen or to limit there income. This is the only chance and will take time i.e. once the para payments have finished plus sales of players that can make a profit. It will be hard but supporters need to stay away until this day comes and it will probably be several years. I would suggest that the support goes to the away games in numbers, expensive I know, but your still supporting the team and making the point. SK is incompetent but it does not matter to V they will not be happy with less money following relegation but they can still make money and that's all that counts. It's hard to stop going but travelling to the away games is the only way I can see to support the team and make the point and bear in mind that it will be several years before the V have gone and the club may be hopefully bought by the supporters- some how.

Finally I am frankly appalled at the reporting qualities of the LET and Radio lancs. They either hide behind the 'well if the won't talk to us what can we do' - well you could write articles that summise what you think has gone on to counterbalance the negativity that you see elsewhere in the press about the Rovers supporters i.e. you could stick up for us. Tonight's Radio Lancs sports programme at 6 o'clock had an interview with SK about GG probably taken after the match on Saturday yet following the inteview i.e. during the remaining part of the programme made no reference to reports in the press that what SK is saying might not be the actual truth.
The supporters need to maintain the backing of the club on the pitch however if either at the Norwich or Wigan game it's looking like we've gone then I suggest the best thing is to mock SK and play back to him some of his classic lines -

we wont go down
we'll finish in the top 10
it'l be europe in 3-4 seasons
judge me on my own purchases
I forfeited the game

several thousand supportes shouting these words back at him might at least make him uncomfortable and make the media wonder whay we are saying these things not too mention make us feel just a little bit better though it won't last- ther's a strggle in the champioship to come and lots of player sales.

The Burnley supporters are correct when they say ask for your money back if your not happy, also its not the supporters club the Chicken Pluckers do own the club unfortunatly for for once i do agree with the Burnley fans

In all honesty I cannot complain that Blackburn Rovers will be relegated. I do not like it but in all honesty the club deserve to go down. The club has the most horrible owners in the Premier League. They have a poor team which has struggled throughout the season. There have been few above average/par performances in fact possibly only two, Man Utd and Liverpool; both away ironically. As for the manager, I think he has under perfomed although I think the main reason for the club going down is without doubt the Venkys and Jerome Anderson. The sooner the Venkys sell the better for all. As for Jerome Anderson, I think he should be ashamed of himself. Prospects for the future are dependant upon the Venkys selling until then, the club will continue to be in a precarious position and vulnerable to drop to Division 1 next season. As for Wigan, well doen to them. A remarkable recovery although it is down to being loved, well managed and and owned by a man with his heart in the right place.

The 79 relegation was a tough one but, just a youngster then and I dusted myself down - no sweat.

The Bristol Rovers scenario I was otherwise occupied. Thank goodness !

The 99 one floored me to such an extent I cycled off to Portugal and watched us relegated in a Youth Hostel. Becoming harder !

The Palace defeat was a bitter pill to swallow after hammering them down at Ewood. Walked off Selhurst Park in tears of frustration with 2 pals. Overwhelmed !

This shocking and disgraceful situation as broken my B&W heart.

I spoke to J Anderson on the phone for 1hr and 20 minutes and one of the questions I asked of him - man to man was:

Aye, good on Fleetwood and fantastic management from Martinez at Wigan. I'm pleased for them for various reasons but, the outstanding reason is showing this odious little egocentric just how to motivate and manage a football team down amongst the dead men.

Despicable is actually very tame when used in conjunction with the words "Walkers Trust'.......which in itself is a big misnomer as the Trust that Jack set up was betrayed time after time by the trustees he left in charge. But for the actions of the WT we would not be in this terrible situation now. Despicable a bit harsh? No nay never too harsh sir....

The Walkers Trust was in charge of all his former companies and was not expected to fund the club in the way Jack had. I think we all knew that.

What they did was keep in place a sound management structure and team to do what was both realistic and beneficial, long term. They shoved a bit of cash in when needed as well. It was a long way from being a "despicable" form of ownership.

The sale to Venkys has been a disaster but was the Trust fed the same line as the rest of us when they came forward? I suppose they could have given Bill Kenwright at Everton a ring to see why he had knocked them back when they tried to buy his club.

Venkys published commitments at the time of the purchase bear no resemblance to what they have actually done since.

They had gone against what has proved to be the most important of them within a couple of months (see Williams / Finn / Goodman letter Jan 2011).

We all know who the common denominator was between the takeover and change of management team now don't we? (again, see Williams / Finn / Goodman letter Jan 2011).

£43m (£23m to Walkers + £20m debt) was the actual takeover figure for the club.
Venkys paid £20M of that. Kean/Anderson @ Co etc covered the rest.
In Aug 2011, the club was remortgaged, covered by itslf, by tv revenue or parachute payments if the club was to drop a division.

Now everyone has received their money back, Venkys from the sale of Jones immediately, Kean and Anderson from the remortgage. Left was Barclays who have received their money too as we all know who were after their repayments back last December. Since there have been more outgoing of staff, players etc, hence the sale of Samba, exactly why they (Barclays) arent moaning in the press anymore.

Well, quite right, the figures are not certain one way or the other? No one is sure apart from Venks/Kean/Anderson.


Either way, nothing has gone towards rebuilding the squad.

Anyone in business with the right frame of mind, especially if the owners were Venkys and were genuine, would have reinvested heavily in last transfer window to ensure survival because they would be very concerned about the £40 odd million they supposedly spent as the total value loss at relegation would be deadly... But they dont care, they received their money back, got plenty marketing and keep doing so and since have not bothered to listen to protests, talk to fans/media or do anything for the best of the club... Barclays have received majority or maybe all of their money from the savings from releasing players and the sale of Samba, hence why they havent been back in the press lately.

We are now at the last chance saloon. Our final experienced competent defender has now been frozen out, and we are left only with an over priced joke in Dann at the back as a recognised centre half. Dann the man who fell asleep for the first goal against Liverpool, an easily preventable goal and who has been inept all season. Wigan are all but safe now after last nights result.

This just leaves the remote possibility that after 5 straight losses, at the business end of the season. A demoralised and threadbare squad, guided by an inexperience incompetent manager can somehow find 3 wins from 4. Two of those four are away at Tottenham and away at Chelsea.

I’m not renewing our ST’s …. most likely will see how next season pans out..might pick a couple of games ie Burnley (after the Man U game I said we wouldn’t get another point this season and stand by that, reason I was cheering for Wigan last night….WE CANT CATCH THEM even before their win) but, I really doubt I’ll be turn up at Ewood next season, may be go to the Turf. Away matches next season are the way to go, more expensive (for some!) but at least the regime won’t get their mucky paws on your cash!

Problem I see is, even with fans not renewing ST it’ll have little effect-no more than 3m would have been expected in revenue in ST sales ( a drop in the ocean compared to TV/Parachute payments) these bandits would have built all this into their ‘masterplan’…�

Maybe they don't care but despite all the conspiracy theories, Anderson and Kean do not “own” BRFC. I doubt very much Anderson has any direct input any more. That’s not to say he wasn’t complicit in the initial reformation of the club which has led, almost entirely, to the chaotic mess currently going by the name of Blackburn Rovers.

No it isn’t. Like it or not, Venkys are wealthy people based on a successful business empire. The actual amount of money they (or anyone else) could ever have made was always limited (small town in NW England remember). As naïve as they may have been, they should have been able to see that from the accounts before buying the club. Is it too much of a stretch to think they would have cast an eye over those before buying? If they are so obsessed with making money as everyone seems to think, that would surely have been the first thing they would have looked at.

Anderson of course has played a major, destructive role (see above) but I don’t think he has any direct say anymore. Surely even he would not make public statements, including those by his solicitors (see SEM website 13/1/12) then risk being found out in a position of power at the club. A despicable sewer rat he may be, but he is not a stupid one.

Letting an average football coach run a team is one thing but to suggests Venkys have been manipulated to the point of him being the absolute overlord is, frankly, nonsense. I personally believe, having seen the 1000% rise in losses, they have realised they can potentially lose a lot of money, or at least sufficient to make them take stock, shall we say. The sales followed as well as the cost cutting exercise (eg Salgado, Roberts and possibly Nelson). The timing of the Samba sale was dubious, suggesting it was done so they would not have to spend any of it - or more accurately, they would be seen as being unable to spend any of it.

The Princes Trust logo on the shirts was not a marketing exercise initially. Paul Hunt said there were several candidates to sponsor the shirts but none were suitable. Of course, not being able to find a shirt sponsor when playing in the most widely broadcast league on the planet is another thing.

Plus, if this is a world wide goodwill gesture to promote the club around the World, who in South America or South East Asia knows what the heck the Princes Trust is?

The big names were only mentioned when they bought the club. Standard procedure to get the fans onside, embarrassing though it was to any Rovers fans still residing on Planet Earth. They did, in fairness, speak to one or two of them although we all knew it was pie-in-the-sky from day one.

Only 99%? I don’t quite get this obsession with parachute payments being everyone's Holy Grail and they will make loads more money if we go down. It would still be more profitable to stay in the Premier League - you may have noticed this gets mentioned every time promotion or relegation comes up. So, Portsmouth or Leeds, say, have made more money since they were relegated? The problem is Venkys are trying to stay up on an unrealistic budget and with a manager incapable of using it, or any other budget for that matter.

You are making the correct decision in holding off ST renewal.

Any fair minded person & I speak of those who would vilify us the supporter in the various Media outlets are surely going to have the truth put onto them at some point ?

We are up in arms concerning all the happenings down at Ewood but, I cannot help feel we are alone in this if we take into consideration what as materialized with other clubs these last 10/15 years.

No-one cares over BRFC only we, the fans. We will return.

They are left in no doubt that we are disgusted with what lay's before all things BRFC.

I have received letters from and read letters of concerned supporter's in reply from Premier League's Richard Scudamore. They are sat on their hands, along with hiding behind the legitimate framework they call 'RULES'

Hmm, not sure about that one…….maybe for one season! Most small/medium sized clubs in the EPL have massive wage bills in relation to income, in most case the wage bill is greater than any TV revenue for a season. Club’s gate receipts and everything that goes with that i.e. merchandising, catering, corporate etc give’s these sized clubs breathing space to survive. Really small clubs ie Wigan, QPR( based on fanbase) are either very prudent/really well run club (like Wigan) or have a billionaire owner (like QPR) to help with any deficit.

No doubt if Rovers kept in the EPL next season they’d make money, the reason being because they have shifted or are shifting their high wage earners from out of the club, there lies the problem, in reality higher wage earners are usually (not always) the better players, teams wanting to survive in the EPL need better players. One of reason Rovers will be relegated (besides the obvious!) is the standard/quality of player in the team, which due solely to a new wage structure policy at the club. The only way Rovers will ply their trade in the EPL is by competing, that just doesn’t mean competing on the pitch, it means competing for the signature for the better players who demand higher wages. This regime’s policy was/is to do things on the cheap and hope!! the reality is, it will cost investment from them to be a successful/sable EPL club which quite obviously they won’t entertain…..so now for stage 2… low wage bill in place, supplemented by Parachute payments and the sale of a few of the more valuable players at the club replacing with cheaper alternatives. Another successful(financial
) season for the regime next year will be the chattering over the Chicken Korma in Prune!!

This regime’s policy was/is to do things on the cheap and hope!! the reality is, it will cost investment from them to be a successful/sable EPL club which quite obviously they won’t entertain…..so now for stage 2… low wage bill in place, supplemented by Parachute payments and the sale of a few of the more valuable players at the club replacing with cheaper alternatives. Another successful(financial ) season for the regime next year will be the chattering over the Chicken Korma in Prune!!

I’m not denying they are shifting players out or reducing the wage bill to save money.
Like I said, they are trying to do things on an unrealistically low budget. Relegation and the huge reduction of income was not part of their business plan - I’d like to have seen them sell that one to Barclays - just a consequence of the unmitigated disaster they have brought about

Like you say you either run the club prudently or have a sugar daddy.

They failed to do the former (1000% increase in losses) having suggested they would be the latter.

Maintaining the high Premier League income and reducing costs is surely a simple case of mathematics. They would still have to pay players/staff no matter which division we are in, some of which will have contracts which remain unaffected by relegation. It will be difficult to get rid of some of these due to them being pretty f@ckin’useless whilst still having the nerve to try and get parity in wages from their potential new club. I mean, who’s going to take dear old Myles off our hands? The vultures will be circling waiting for us to compromise on the fee to get the supposedly more valuable players off the wage bill.

It would not therefore be as simple as just introducing a lower wage bill at a stroke. That has been one of the main problems facing the clubs which have been relegated year after year.

What will the TOTAL amount of parachute money be and over what period? I fancy, if by some miracle we stayed up (stop laughing at the back), the money we get for one extra season would not be too different to all that we would get from the parachute payments.

So, as I say, in an ideal world they would prefer to stay where they are whilst cutting costs as well. This is highly unlikely to be successful in the short term (one month and counting) and would undoubtedly fail in the long run. Not many clubs run at a profit remember, regardless of the Premier League money or prudent management. Somebody always gets relegated, usually those who are punching above their weight - like we have been doing.

However, as someone said earlier above, its one thing to go down but entirely different to be taken down. That’s what is so unpalatable about this.

Rovers’ wage bill has always been well above the accepted recommended proportion of turnover ever since we’ve been in the Prem. The difference was we have had both a sugar daddy followed by prudent management of the club after he had gone (RIP).

Have Swansea, Norwich or Wigan spent more than us on players or wages? Absolutely not. Probably several others as well. Throwing money at it does not automatically mean you stay up - I give you Brian Kidd; his team was the second most expensive, pro-rata, ever to have been relegated from the Premiership (Newcastle were the most expensive, by the way). We still had a sugar daddy to cover it though.

I maintain this whole mess has been the result of totally irresponsible, ignorant and perhaps naive management of the club. They are trying to avoid losing any more money having been responsible for the financial disaster they have overseen.

As business people, this will involve forecasting future income etc based on different scenarios; standard business procedure. The bank will have demanded it anyway. The most likely scenario now is for us to be relegated and all income streams slashed. They will obviously try to offset this further by reducing costs as it is equally clear they are not prepared to dip their hands too deep into their pocket.

I still can’t see how relegation will earn them any more money though, sorry.

And yes, I do still have too much time on my hands. (I’m not a well man, y’know)

Rovers can play attractive football and survive in the Premier League without spending millions. Top 4 or 5 is stretching it with limited resources but it's possible to challenge those top teams and do well, and possibly even get into top positions now and then.

I was driven out by all the Phil Jones luvvies. So I left. Oh and as for my support of venkys that was only in the initial months after they removed the previous cancer. Notice people realise I was right all along about the walkers. Philipl on BRFCS claimed Fred Walker's illness distracted them. Now that he's dead they still won't do anything. The Walkers have no shame.

I'm past the point of making any suggestions or protests but I would have assumed that BRIST would have a different plan of attack by now. Then again this is the same group that are deluded enough to consider a fan takeover possible.

Jones, venkys, the walkers and to some extent the fans are all responsible for the collapse of Jack Walker's legacy. Monumental action is required some silly little march with your wife and 2 kids won't sort it. The only one to try and confront venkys was me and that was only to clear my conscience.

Otherwise you will all be left picking at the football equivalent of a rotting corpse.

I won't renew my season ticket for the first time since 93. Followed Rovers since 83.
