FULL TIME: Burnley Reserves 2 Oldham Athletic Reserves 3

DANNY Ings scored with a superb overhead kick as Burnley’s reserve team were beaten 3-2 at home by Oldham last night.

Ings completed the full 90 minutes as he continues to build up match fitness after injury, while Martin Paterson played for just over an hour.

Zavon Hines scored the Clarets’ second goal, with Marvin Bartley, Brian Jensen and January signing Danny Lafferty also featuring.

Other than gaining game time and and fitness not a lot to impress. The Beast not going to get the goalkeeping jersey back on the evidence of this performance.
