TWO years ago Burnley goalkeeper Brian Jensen was a relatively little-known figure in Denmark, but tomorrow he will release a book in his homeland charting his rise to the Premier League.
Jensen was approached to write about his season in the top flight with Burnley and returned to Denmark during the international break to promote his book on television.
‘Beast: From Norrebro to the Premier League’ will currently only be available in Danish but is due to be translated and put on sale in England in the future.
Jensen grew up in the Copenhagen district of Norrebro, which has been the scene of a number of riots over the last 30 years.
“They asked me to do a book because they thought it was an interesting story, coming from a rough part of Copenhagen into the Premier League, getting promotion with little Burnley,” said the 35-year-old, who moved to England 10 years ago.
“I’m probably not as well known in Denmark as I am here but the Premier League has made me better known there.
"It has all been on telly and before that with the promotion.
“They followed me all the way through last season. A couple of journalists came over and helped me write it.
“It’s going to be translated so everyone over here can enjoy it as well.”

The LT will continue to allow fair and even robust comments on this subject acknowledging the depth of feeling of supporters and their right to express their opinions as long as these comments are lawful and obey our house rules . But we refuse to accept defamatory and unproven accusations of criminal or other wrongful activity which break the rules governing the comments facility.
