Sam Allardyce has been forced into four changes, as injuries ravage the Blackburn squad.
Phil Jones comes into the defence for his Premier League debut in place of Gael Givet, with Martin Olsson filling the left back berth as El-Hadji Diouf comes in for Pascal Chimbonda.
Elsewhere Jason Brown fills in for Paul Robinson, Keith Andrews in restored to the centre of midfield with Brett Emerton on the bench alongside Amine Linganzi.
