Burnley chairman Barry Kilby has blasted a national newspaper story claiming the club are looking for a replacement for manager Brian Laws.
The Sun newspaper alleges that Kilby has already started the process of looking for a new boss following a run of defeats.
However, Kilby insisted: “This is a ludicrous, irresponsible, damaging and inaccurate piece of journalism.
“We are not in the process of looking for a replacement for Brian and everyone involved with Burnley Football Club is putting every ounce of effort into staying in the Premier League.”

I wouldnt trust Kilby as far as I could throw him quite frankly. Laws has not been in the job for long. Its not his squad. He should be given another couple of seasons regardless of what happens between now and the end of the season. Ossy Claret

Thank heavens for that,we want Laws in place when the Rovers go there, his record speaks volumes.

cantbeleiveyourallsoWell my fellow rival from Rovers, you are so right with your comment.

I don't normally comment on Burnla matters as a true blue, but I just think that Madari's comments are so ridiculous + I have no idea what you do for a job mate... lets just say you are a snake charmer... i think you would be pretty annoyed if you got sacked without a proper crack at the whip... especially to be replaced by Greame Souness... Who in their right mind believes that Greame would be intersted in the Burnley Job? how did you come to that conclusion? + It's obvious to me and many Burnla and Blackburn fans that BL was employed for his knowledge of the club, his decent(ish) record int' championship and his decent manner. He was also a cheap option for a club who has effectivley ensured its future for the next ten years through promotion and not overspending + But Madari... You know best. Sack a manager who has only just started his contract, Hire a cutthroat jock from the old guard for millions... + Sounds like the logic of a nutcase to me!

Barry Kilby and Flood obviously dont value Premiership status and that is why they went for a cheap option.(an expensive mistake) The club should have and still should show more ambition and desire by doing eveything in their power to keep the Clarets in the Premiership especially in a season when one team has already been ,as good as relegated(Portsmouth ) *What knowledge(BL) of the club are you talking about ?BL has more knowledge of Notts Forrest than Burnley and Forrest didnt try to appoint him during their darkest days , did they? and if the state BL has left Sheffield Wednesday is in your opinion `decent(ish)and therefore acceptable then you stick to following the Deadwoods. *The Madari doesn`t always `know best`as you put it, The Madari just doesn`t want to wait another 33 years watching the likes of ,Grimsby , Lincoln and Scunthorpe on cold dark winter nights thats all. * We The Clarets have had to reach the Premiership the hard way and it would be a shame to capitulate a hard earned status so easily. * it takes a brave man to call the Madari a `nutcase` i again suggest you google `Madari the snake charmer` and learn about the Madari . * Finally I still believe that BL will be shown the door before long. Adios......
