HIGH-flying Ramsbottom United face a Mersey mission tomorrow as they look to battle back into the fray at the business end of the Vodkat League as they lock horns with Bootle.
The Rams suffered a miserable February with just one win - but got back to winning ways on Tuesday night when they beat Squires Gate thanks to a Lee Connell goal. And a win against Bootle can help them cement their spot in the top four.
United also have silverware on their minds after a bizarre U-turn by the organisers of the Bolton Hospitals Cup. After announcing that United would not be entitled to enter the competition, the organisers have changed their minds and allowed Ramsbottom to enter after all and they will now play Bolton County at home.
Comments on Blackburn Rovers stories following the Jerome Anderson interview with Sky Sports have been frozen on this website after the Lancashire Telegraph received a letter from Mr Anderson’s solicitors. However, later tomorrow (Friday) we are setting up a new facility for readers to post their comments on Blackburn Rovers at (insert email address here). The LT will continue to allow fair and even robust comments on this subject acknowledging the depth of feeling of supporters and their right to express their opinions as long as these comments are lawful and obey our house rules . But we refuse to accept defamatory and unproven accusations of criminal or other wrongful activity which break the rules governing the comments facility.
