Half Time: Blackburn Rovers 0-1 Portsmouth

3:48pm Saturday 7th November 2009

A lacklustre first half performance saw Blackburn trailing Portsmouth at the interval.

Rovers created the first opening inside two minutes with the Pompey defence looking far from composed, but El-Hadji Diouf had strayed into an offised position.

The next 10 mintes created very little, with both defences looking composed and taking control.

Portsmouth persisted with trying their luck from range, and it payed off in the 16th minute when Jamie O'Hara found the corner from 25 yards with a low skidding drive.

Following the opener the home side began to take control of possesion, without creating very much in terms of chances.

Pascal Chimbonda was becoming a useful outlet down the right, but the Rovers man was lucky not to see red.

After having his shirt pulled by O'hara he reacted by taking a swing at the Pompey man, both receved yellow cards for their actions.

Portsmouth loooked confortble at 1-0 up, and were deserving to go in at half time leading.
