Rovers Under-23s have been crowned champions of Premier League 2 Division Two.
Defeat for nearest rivals Aston Villa at Newcastle United means Damien Johnson’s side have secured the title, and promotion to Premier League Two, with a game to spare.
Rovers lost 1-0 at Ewood Park to Aston Villa last Monday but defeat for the Villains tonight leaves them four points behind with just one game to play.
Johnson’s side round off their campaign with a trip to West Bromwich Albion on Monday where they will be presented with the trophy.
They have won 14 of their 21 matches to date, losing on just three occasions, and a number of the squad have already made their first-team debuts.
Well done @Rovers!
