BILLY Kee has put the promotion celebrations on ice, as Accrington Stanley turn their attentions to ending the season as League Two champions.

The 25-goal top scorer and team-mates partied into the night and the following day after his brace against Yeovil Town on Tuesday ensured the Reds will be playing League One football next season.

But with four games still to play Kee insists the job is not finished yet.

Stanley go into Saturday's game at third placed Wycombe Wanderers with a four-point cushion and game in hand over second placed Luton Town.

Should John Coleman's side win at Adams Park and Luton lose their game away to Carlisle United, the newly promoted Reds would take home the title too.

And Kee insists that is the next target.

“We want to win the title,” said the League Two player of the year,

“We have had two days off, and a lot of fun, but now it’s time to sort our lives out, dig in and go for the league title.

“We want to win it. I think the hardest thing was promotion and we have achieved that now so we can relax a little in our final four games.

“But there is still a job to do and we all know that. We could actually do it on Saturday if we beat Wycombe and Luton lose so it is an absolutely massive game we are now preparing for."

Gareth Ainsworth's Wycombe have their own incentive to stop Stanley in their tracks, as they currently occupy the last automatic promotion place.

Kee and co boast a 14-game unbeaten run that includes 12 wins, and are keen to keep it going to the end of the season.

But Kee knows their opponents will be no pushover.

"Wycombe will be tough," he said.

"We know all about them, they have played the same for the last couple of seasons but we want to go there and come away with all three points.”
