BEN Mee is a doubt for Saturday's game at Watford after picking up a knock in training.

The Clarets defender has been an almost ever-present this season, but will need a late fitness test to determine whether he is available for the trip to Vicarage Road.

Scott Arfield (calf) and Jon Walters (knee) remain sidelined but manager Sean Dyche did not rule out a return for Johann Berg Gudmundsson, after the Iceland international missed last weekend's win at West Brom with a calf problem.

Goalkeeper Tom Heaton, meanwhile, is deemed fit enough to be back in first team contention after being sidelined since September with a dislocated shoulder.

"There are a few knocks. Ben Mee’s got a knock so we'll see how that settles down overnight," said Dyche.

"Scott Arfield's not quite ready yet, Jon Walters is not ready yet.

"Gudmundsson is touch and go but at this stage we’ll probably err on the side of caution unless he comes in and says he's absolutely clear."

Of Heaton's chances, Dyche added: "It’s just getting him back to being totally fit, which I think he is now so he certainly comes back into the realms of thought around the first team group.

"He probably was last time out but more so with another week under his belt and looking well."
