ROVERS made it 16 games unbeaten and moved in to the top two of League One with a win at Fleetwood Town.
Bradley Dack opened the scoring with his 11th goal of the season, moments after seeing a goal chalked off for offside.
Derrick Williams hit the bar while Dominic Samuel missed an excellent chance in the second minute as Rovers started the game strongly.
Danny Graham was denied by the post in the second half as Rovers pressed for a second goal, only to be pegged back by Connor McAleny 11 minutes after the re-start.
But the game was decided six minutes from time when Richie Smallwood's strike looped over Chris Neal and nestled in the roof of the net.
