Nick Pope 5

Only faced five shots on target. Rounded for Aguero’s second and rash decision to come off line for fourth goal.

Matt Lowton 6

Very good in the first half but eased off the ball too easily in the lead up to City’s second goal.

Kevin Long 6

Defence was rocky as City turned the game around but Long no more culpable than anyone else. Solid.

Ben Mee 6

Switched off for Aguero to run in behind for the equaliser. Close with a first half header that flashed across goal.

Charlie Taylor 7

Defended very well, with City getting little joy from him as they decided to attack down the other side instead.

Johann Berg Gudmundsson 6

A player who probably needed a rest. Had little opportunity to really influence the game aside from the odd set-piece

Jack Cork 7

Better than recent weeks and showed wonderful composure in the first half to free Hendrick with a clever pass

Ashley Westwood 8 (Man of the Match)

Competed really well against City’s excellent midfield, tracking his runners throughout and posing a few problems as he looked to get the Clarets forward quickly. Made the most of a rare chance to impress.

Jeff Hendrick 6

Drifted wide when Barnes came in field but struggled to really influence the game as Burnley saw limited final third ball.

Ashley Barnes 8

Couldn’t quite force ball over the line from Mee header but made no mistake with brilliant finish for his goal.

Sam Vokes 7

Battled hard against Stones and Otamendi and won his fair share of headers, but no real sights of goal
