ALL three of East Lancashire's professional clubs face a busy festive schedule over the next two weeks, but which set of supporters will be spending the most following their team?

Annual research carried out by the Football Supporters’ Federation (FSF), and supported by Virgin Media, into the cost of Christmas football has broken down the cost for fans of every one of the 92 clubs.

The analysis includes ticket, travel and food costs, plus journey times for festive fixtures played between Boxing Day and January 4, 2018.

Burnley, Blackburn Rovers and Accrington Stanley all have three games in that time.

Rovers fans will be shelling out the least over the Christmas period, with two Ewood Park games and a New Year's Day trip to Rotherham setting them back £54.80.

Burnley fans will be spending £124.17 on the high-flying Clarets' three Premier League games, with trips to Manchester United and Huddersfield and a New Year's Day clash with Liverpool at Turf Moor.

It's fans of League Two promotion hopefuls Accrington Stanley who will be spending the most watching their side over Christmas, with the Reds handed plenty of travelling over the festive period.

They face trips to Carlisle and Grimsby before a home game with Morecambe, costing £166.88.
