We asked our Rovers fans' jury: "Are you concerned by Rovers' start to the season?"

What concerns me most is the repeated sense of Deja Vu experienced after most Rovers games.

Managers come and go. Players come and go but the results are just the same. Lacklustre performances, lack of creativity, lack of leadership, lack of goals.

There's something negative and endemic about Blackburn Rovers and Ewood Park that can't be explained in a rational way. Perhaps the fans have been cursed.

One can only wonder with incredulity at those who thought Rovers would be a force to be reckoned with in this dire division.

It's easy to bemoan our performances after a couple of negative results but the truth is that we haven't been bad, we just haven't been very good either.

Defensively, we have looked suspect, we are lightweight in the centre of midfield if Evans or Smallwood aren't in there and we are not clinical enough in attack.

We're adjusting to a new league, getting used to having to attack teams instead of containing them and still trying to gel with so many new players. Not one thing is concerning, yet nothing is right, hence the inconsistency and indifference.

Dips in form are coming against the lesser sides, such as Oldham, Plymouth and Wimbledon. Rovers should be beating these teams by a few goals with the quality in the side, not losing or drawing at home.

Inconsistency has plagued the season so far and Tony Mowbray does not seem to know his best 11 going forward, while injuries have hampered his chances of fielding his best defensive unit. Scoring goals is a big problem. Of Rovers’ 25 shots last night, just four were on target. That tells its own story.

It is a long season and we should not be panicking yet. Winning the two games in hand against Fleetwood and Blackpool would currently put Rovers in fourth. However, the top two are quickly moving away from the chasing pack and Rovers cannot afford many more slip ups.
