NAKHI Wells completed his first 90 minutes in a Burnley shirt as the Clarets drew 2-2 with Sheffield United in a behind closed doors game at Turf Moor.

Midfielder Dean Marney also completed a half as he builds up to full fitness following knee surgery.

Wells joined the Clarets from Huddersfield Town on transfer deadline day but has yet to make his competitive debut as he recovers from minor foot surgery.

Defensive trio Kevin Long, Phil Bardsley and Charlie Taylor also featured as Turf boss Sean Dyche gave several of his squad players a run-out.

Olly Younger and Freddie Ulvestad were on target for Burnley as they came from two goals down to earn a draw against the Blades.

It was the visitors who struck first when David Brooks lifted the ball past Anders Lindegaard and the midfielder, who was called up by Wales for their World Cup qualifiers earlier this month, then clipped the crossbar with a free kick before setting up Richard Stearman for United's second.

But Burnley responded after the break and halved the deficit with 16 minutes to go when Younger forced the ball home following a corner.

And Ulvestad had the last word when he levelled two minutes from time after good link-up play from Ashley Westwood and Wells.

Clarets: Lindegaard, Bardsley, Younger, Long, Taylor, Ulvestad, Westwood, Marney (Bayode HT), McNeil, Wells, Trialist (Limb 83).
