ROVERS expect to be without Craig Conway and Rekeem Harper for this weekend’s trip to Shrewsbury Town.

Conway was forced off after half an hour of last Saturday’s defeat to AFC Wimbledon with recurrence of the hip injury picked up at Rochdale on September 9.

West Brom loanee Harper replaced Conway in the side for the win at Scunthorpe United three days later, but himself picked up a hip flexor injury.

And now manager Tony Mowbray expects to be without the pair for the trip to the Montgomery Waters Meadow.

“I have not seen them this week,” Mowbray said when asked for an update on the pair.

“I don’t think they will make the weekend unless there’s a Lazarus like recovery, but I would not anticipate them being involved.

“They will be fit when they’re fit.

“The reports I have had are that they will be back on the grass on Monday.

“We will see – if they are back in training on Monday then we will see if they are ok for Tuesday (at home to Rotherham United) or if we give them another week and consider them for the weekend after.”

Mowbray is likely to consider changes after seeing his side's winning run ended by AFC Wimbledon last weekend.

That could see recalls for Bradley Dack and Danny Graham, while Harry Chapman will be pushing for his first league start of the campaign after impressive cameos off the bench to date.
