REKEEM Harper will undergo a scan this afternoon on his hip flexor after coming off injured in the win at Scunthorpe United on Tuesday.

But Craig Conway could return for Rovers after missing the Glanford Park win with a bruised hip picked up in the second half of last weekend’s win at Rochdale

Harper deputised for Conway in midweek, but picked up an injury himself as he was substituted at half-time.

And boss Tony Mowbray said: “Rekeem is going for a scan this afternoon.

“Craig was back on the training ground this morning.

“One probably won’t be ready for the weekend and fingers that if Craig has no reaction to the training, one will be back.

“So it’s looking ok.”

But Mowbray doesn’t envisage 17-year-old Harper, who signed from West Brom on loan on deadline day, to be missing for too long.

He added: “He’s a very young lad who is feeling his thigh a little bit.

“We just want to have a look at the extent of it.

“We don’t anticipating it being anything too bad, it’s probably just a very, very minor injury to the top of his thigh.

“I would think he would be back in a week or two.”

Ryan Nyambe and Scott Wharton (both ankle) remain sidelined.
