I think the 4-5-1 has been working well, so I'd be reluctant to change the formation. This leaves a straight choice between Chris Wood and Sam Vokes for the lone striker position.

Vokes has had a decent start to the season but there's no doubt Wood changed the game when he came on against Spurs, albeit in a front two.

I think Wood has a better chance of getting in behind defences as he's a bit quicker than Vokes, so whilst it may seem harsh, I think I'd start Wood ahead of Vokes.

If I was the gaffer I would start him on Sunday against Crystal Palace. We have a striker on fire in front of goal you include the hat-trick he scored in a World Cup qualifier for New Zealand.

We lost our first home game and missed a few chances in the first half. Chris Wood doesn't look like he would miss those chances in the form he is so I would name him in the starting line up at Turf Moor as he will be a man on form against a team that is not.

ANDREW GREENWOOD

Sean has a bit of a dilemma on his hands, albeit a good one. It depends on what formation he starts with.

If, like he has done in the league games so far, he starts with one recognised striker then I’d personally start with Wood. He’s full of confidence after his goal at Spurs and getting the hat-trick for New Zealand and I feel he’s a bit more mobile than Vokesy.

It’s hard on Sam though as he’s also on form but Wood just gets the nod.
