Tom Heaton 5

Caught out by Stanislas’ early finish for opener and beaten through his legs by King for the winner.

Matt Lowton 5

Full-backs have been a major plus point this season but the winner came from through Fraser down his side.

Kevin Long 6

Made one crucial interception early on. The last two weeks have been a baptism of fire for him.

James Tarkowski 5

Got the wrong side of King for the winner, which proved a costly error. Tough afternoon all round.

Stephen Ward 5

Saw Stanislas slip away from him and get into a promising position for the opening goal.

George Boyd 5

Had minimal influence on the game while he was on the pitch, beside an early shot just wide.

Ashley Westwood 6

Below the standards he’s set since getting back into the side, but he wasn’t the only one.

Jeff Hendrick 7

Tried to drive the Clarets forward, either through his distribution or driving runs.

Scott Arfield 6

Probably should have scored, but he was at least getting in a position to influence proceedings.

Ashley Barnes 5

Withdrawn at half-time after quiet first 45. Attack needed more pace in the second half to pose a threat.,

Sam Vokes 7 (Man of the Match)

Terrific header for his goal and easily Burnley’s most dangerous player. Won an awful lot of headers against two fairly big central defenders. Looks really sharp at the moment. Deserves a 10th Premier League goal of the season next week.
