SEAN Dyche insists Burnley are under 'no pressure' to sell Michael Keane this summer as the Clarets defender continues to be linked with a move away from Turf Moor.

Liverpool are the latest club to be linked with a £25million move for Keane, although reports on Merseyside suggest the 24-year-old is not top of Jurgen Klopp's wishlist.

Manchester United and Everton are understood to be leading the race for the England international, who is likely to depart Burnley this summer with just one year remaining on his contract.

However, Dyche has already said Burnley would allow Keane to run his contract down and leave on a free if they didn't receive an offer that matched their valuation this summer, and he has reiterated that the club are under no financial pressure to do a deal.

“We are a club that is in unbelievably good shape. There is no pressure to do anything," he told talkSPORT.

“It is more of case of doing what is right in any situation. If all parties agree, that might be something the club have to look at just by the realities of what it is in the Premier League but we are certainly in very healthy shape so we don’t have to make any decisions for any other reason than we think it is appropriate."

Keane has added two caps for the Three Lions to his resume this season and his performances for the Clarets have added to his growing reputation.

Dyche admits that the success Burnley are enjoying is always going to lead to speculation about his star names and there will come a time when some will 'outgrow' Turf Moor.

“It is the balance of what you are doing at a club like this,” he said.

“You want your players to be successful, which is good for them, good for the team, good for the club. On the other hand, that does bring interest.

“It is something we have become used to. We have been fortunate in the sense that for four years now we have had something to play for.

“We have had people been talking about our players every year. It is a challenge for a club like this because we are not a superpower of the division and players will eventually outgrow us or move on or be hunted and that is just the way it goes.”
