BURNLEY will be hoping to continue their excellent record under the watchful gaze of Martin Atkinson on Saturday.

Atkinson will take charge of the Clarets' Premier League trip to Hull City and when he is in the middle good things tend to happen for Burnley.

This will be Atkinson's second Burnley game of the season, having been referee for the 3-2 win over Bournemouth back in December when Jeff Hendrick, Stephen Ward and George Boyd scored.

In fact Burnley are unbeaten in the last six Premier League games they have played when Atkinson has been the man in charge.

The good luck charms continue when it comes to visits to Hull City as well. Atkinson has refereed both previous Premier League games between Burnley and Hull on Humberside, and the Clarets have won both of them.

Two years they triumphed 1-0 thanks to a Danny Ings goal, while the 4-1 win at Hull in 2009/10 was Burnley's only away victory that season.

Atkinson was also in the middle for Burnley's 2-1 win at Stoke City in November 2014, meaning he has been in charge of three of Burnley's four away wins in the Premier League.

In 2014/15 he also sent-off Nemanja Matic in Burnley's 1-1 draw at Stamford Bride after a clash with Ashley Barnes, while also presiding over the goalless draw with Tottenham at Turf Moor.
