OWEN Coyle has asked Rovers officials to chase up a response from Ben Marshall’s agent over the winger’s decision on a new contract.
Marshall, whose current deal runs out at the end of the season, opened talks with the club last month.

And manager Coyle said: “I’ve not had a definitive answer from his representative. I’ve asked the powers that be to pursue that just so we get an answer, which tells me that we’ve given them some food for thought.
“Having said that it’s certainly not affected Ben because he’s playing out of his skin. He’s not the only one - there’s a number of players that will be in that situation.
“The important thing is that you as a player hold all the aces. If you’re performing out of your skin, your club is desperate to keep you and others will want you as well.
“If you don’t play well then nobody’s going to come for you.
“The players dictate how it goes by their performances and Ben has been performing very well.”
