ROVERS boss Owen Coyle praised his side for an 'outstanding performance from start to finish' as they came from behind to win at the iPro Stadium.

The manager saw Ben Marshall miss a first-half penalty before his side fell behind to Matej Vydra's 69th-minute strike.

But two goals in the following three minutes, from Marvin Emnes and substitute Danny Graham, made sure the travelling Rovers fans were left overjoyed at the final whistle as their team collected a second win of the season and a first on the road.

"It was an outstanding three points and a very hard-earned three points," said Coyle afterwards.

“To come to Derby, who we know the money they have spent on the squad and everything here is Premier League apart from their position, and from first whistle to last we were outstanding.

“I thought we should have had a penalty in the first half for the incident with Sam Gallagher which wasn’t given.

“Then we did get a penalty for the one on Emnes, but unfortunately Marshall hits the post.

“And then I think we were a little bit disappointed to lose the goal that we did.

“But we picked ourselves up again and the quality of our play was outstanding.

“There was a deflection for our first goal, but the second one is probably a contender for goal of the season already, with the passing and moving and the weight of pass for Danny Graham.

“We were outstanding today from start to finish."

Coyle was also happy with the way his side, who have conceded a host of late goals so far this campaign comfortably saw the game out after taking the lead through Graham's smart finish 17 minutes from time.

He added: “I think Derby were always going to commit bodies forward and they threw a lot of balls into the box, but we looked really dangerous and we could have got a third goal.

“Jason Steele made a good save at 1-1, but apart from that thought we were very comfortable in dealing with what we had to deal with late on.”
