PROMINENT football broadcaster Stan Collymore took to Twitter to comment on the lowest Blackburn Rovers home crowd for a league, FA Cup or League Cup match in 30 years.
Just 3,448 supporters, including 535 from Crewe Alexandra, watched last night’s 4-3 EFL Cup second-round win.
Picking up on pictures circulating on the social media site of the deserted ground the former Nottingham Forest, Liverpool and England striker made his feelings clear on the club’s owners Venky’s to his 826,000 followers...
Well done Rovers fans. Must hurt boycotting games.Quicker Venky's are out, quicker great club gets back on its feet. pic.twitter.com/yorejUq3wU

I've played at a packed Ewood when they had ownership fit for purpose who had the club at heart. Fans who gloat, may be YOUR club next.

Hearing it's the lowest attendance in major domestic competition for 30 years (1986).
Sad times. #VENKYSOUT
Attendance in the press room says 3,448 (535 away). By my reckoning lowest att for Lge, FA Cup, or Lge Cup match since Sep 1986. #rovers
