And he is expected to start in Millwall’s League One play-off semi-final second leg at home to Bradford City tonight.

The Lions lead 3-1 from the first leg and Taylor is determined to help them finish the job and book a place at Wembley.

But the 29-year-old, who played at the national stadium in his first spell at the Den, admits has given some thoughts to his future.

Millwall manager Neil Harris has confirmed he would like to sign Taylor on a free transfer when his contract at Rovers runs out in the summer.

And the former Oldham Athletic man, who is unlikely to be handed a new Ewood Park deal, has hinted he has had talks about a permanent switch back to the Lions.

Asked if the next move in his career was on his mind, Taylor told News at Den: “A little bit, I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t.

“But the majority of my focus is on playing the games. There have been some talks but it’s hard to know what you’re going to do when you’re not 100 per cent sure what league you’re going to be in.

“But the main focus is on getting to Wembley first and foremost and then back to the Championship.”

Taylor has scored five in 73 appearances for Rovers since his arrival on a free transfer from Millwall three years ago.
