SEAN Dyche has backed his players to keep their focus tomorrow if their final-day fixture at Charlton suffers delays.

Addicks fans are again planning protests against their owners for the 12.30pm kick-off at The Valley.

They have caused disruption and delays in recent fixtures against Birmingham, Brighton and Middlesbrough by throwing objects onto the pitch.

Campaign group the Coalition Against Roland Duchatelet (Card) have said they do not plan to get the match abandoned but they have confirmed further protests will take place tomorrow, which could result in the game being temporarily halted at some point by referee Roger East.

The Clarets need three points to make sure of the Championship title, but Dyche has no concerns that the events could affect his side’s concentration, and insists the planned protests are nothing to do with Burnley.

Asked for his opinion on them, he said: “It’s nothing to do with me. I don’t have the knowledge to give a real opinion on that situation.

“I know they’re disgruntled. I’m told it’s not about us, they’ve made that clear, it’s about them and the club. There’s nothing we can do about that. Whatever their actions are, we focus on what we do.

“I don’t need to speak to the players, it’s been all over the news, they will know. Our focus has been good all season and it will need to be again if it gets delayed or stopped. It’s part of the challenge.”

Charlton have already been relegated from the Championship this season and in recent weeks anger has turned on to their Belgian owner for the way the club is being run.
