BLACKBURN Rovers will host Luton Town in the FA Youth Cup quarter-finals.

The last-eight tie will be played at Ewood Park on Tuesday, February 23, with a 7pm kick-off.

Billy Barr’s side reached this stage thanks to a come-from-behind 2-1 win at Aston Villa last time out.

Trailing 1-0 at the break to a Scott Wharton own goal, Lewis Hardcastle equalised for Rovers before Tre Pemberton hit a last-minute winner at Villa Park.

The Hatters then sealed the trip to Ewood by beating Preston North End 5-3 on penalties after a 1-1 draw at Deepdale.

Luton entered the competition at the first-round stage and so far they have seen off Colchester United 3-1, Leyton Orient 1-0, Notts County 3-1 and Oldham Athletic 1-0 before the victory over North End.

Rovers came in at the third-round stage and defeated Southend United 1-0 at Ewood thanks to Willem Tomlinson’s second-half penalty.

That set-up a tie with Leicester City, held at Leigh Sports Village.

In a five-goal thriller, Joe Rankin-Costello equalised for Rovers to send the game to extra-time.

He scored again five minutes into extra-time but the Foxes equalised within two minutes.

Just as the game looked to be going to penalties, Joel Steer found the back of the net in the 120th minute to seal a 3-2 success.

Rovers season ticket holders can gain free admission to the tie with the Hatters on production of season ticket cards while general admission prices are £4 for adults and £2 for concessions.

The winners will face Chelsea or Reading in a two-legged semi-final.
